- I thought I'd share some of my experiences returning to college as an adult. Might be useful for someone... who knows.

Eye strain is real in taking online courses. Blue light filter coating on a pair of glasses that has a little bit of magnification helped me. I enjoy your online work here on TH-cam, and you've sourced some great coffee!

Mornin'! Living vicariously through what you're doing with CC, Josh. My educational pursuits were too purpose-focused and now, I wish I had just been more random in selecting studies. I love your let's-see-where-this-might-lead approach. For what it's worth, I was still clambering on-off machinery and jumping down into excavations in the final months of my 40+ year career. Really dug it. The desk-jockey part of my gig was certainly the more dangerous part of it.

I don't exactly know what it is but I think this college nonsense has something to do with getting to the next step. I don't mind clambering around on industrial junk... I just don't want to do it in the same capacity forever.

Thanks friend. Please keep in mind that while the tuition is free… there are still fees that equal about $75 per 3 credit class (super cheap.)
I’m pretty new to this but I’m under the impression that tuition is free until whatever government funding runs out. I’d just call and ask, they are pretty nice, easy going people there.

Good luck in whatever you end up doing. You never know where your plans may lead, but sometimes you just have to follow your gut. A friend of mine decided to return to college at age 55 and it led her to a job shortly after she loves.

I have also considered going to do some sort of business studies, but at the age that I am at, I always thought maybe not. My dream would be to have a small bike shop. @EriebyCycle Thought I would pop back and let you know I am now enrolled on a business management course starting at the end of this month. I will learn loads of stuff about running a business as I dream about having my own little bikeshop one day. Thanks for the inspiration, mate 💙

I took Business Class i trade school. only thing I remember the teacher saying was "If you can't sway them with substance, baffle them with bull".
That sounds exactly like my thoughts about business.

@EriebyCycle sounds good man. I've been pondering the idea of starting my own content creation. Theres a serious lack of the "average joe, upgrading a budget bike and commuting through town" content. I can't seem to find any American people doing it. I might have to give it a try!

I’m so confused. I keep hearing that it’s free, but both college’s sites list rates for credit hours. Can you tell me house it’s free?
The tuition is free. The fees wind up being $75 a class. So it’s not 100% free education… just free tuition - but an awful lot less expensive than the other three colleges in town. A parking pass was about $250 when I went to PSU Behrend 20 years ago.
