I. CANT. WAIT!!! I know a couple of comedians on the show in the 90s, and I watched and understood the extreme difficulty in putting on this LIVE show, week in and week. Plus I’ve been watching SNL since I was 10 yrs old, in ‘76, a year after it started. And I’ve been with the show ever since!!
I remember that first episode. I was a little kid and didn't know what the hell I was watching except that I was gonna come back and watch it again next week.
Disagree. Not everyone has access to streaming. I for one am glad that there's something grown-up to watch in the cinema (STILL THE BEST PLACE TO WATCH ANY FILM. PERIOD!) and not just another superhero or kids film.
@@marccox70 I've seen lots of great movies in the cinema that 'tanked'. What of it? Why am I, as an audience member, going to want a quality adult movie to only be available on an inferior platform (that I don't even have personal access to)?
truly am so excited to see this film! ready to see how they all worked together to tell a story of how SNL came to be on its first night live on the air. Ill say it, Dylan Obrien in short shorts is a sight to behold and truly am ready to see how they tell this story.
Wow! This looks awesome! It’s gonna be interesting to see how Saturday Night Live started. Plus the many struggles to make this show a success for almost 50 years. I believe SNL is the same age as my sister in 1975.
This looks really good, and I will watch. But I'm already anticipating the let down after watching when I remember how far the show has fallen since. Weekend Update is about all they have going for them now.
"A group of 20 year olds who have never made anything" - that's not totally true. John Belushi and Chevy Chase were already famous. The rest of the cast were unknowns, BUT had great experience doing improv and starting their own improv groups.
That's only got 67% on RT, and this looks like it will treat the material more seriously and sincerely, rather than being one of those annoying meta-biopics. Meta-films are getting tiresome.
I did not recognize Dylan as Dan Ackrode at first. I just hope he can do his thick Canadian accent. Also, this means that Dylan will be a blues brother
Clicked on this out of curiosity and to see wether Hannah Einbinder was going to be playing her own mum but I actually might watch the movie now it looking fking good. Who knew some movie trailers actually do their job. XD
Dylan's face being the main thing in the thumbnail and his name being in the title, whilst he barely appears in the trailer, feels like peak false advertisement.
Years and decades go by, but my love and admiration for Dylan O'Brien continues to live on ❤
❤❤ true T!!!
forever and ever😍😍😍😘😘
He is mine! I will fight you! lol
@@Pogueconductor, ask his girlfriend for permission hahah
Facts.
The origin story of Saturday night live holy shit
You deduced that all by yourself?
I’m stoked
There was already a movie about this and all the guys from Caddy Shack and Animal house 😴
Saw this in 7th grade. Awesome.
literally insnae
everyone focused on Dylan O’brien but I literally just saw RACHEL SENOTT? and Kaia Gerber that’s amazing didn’t know they were part of the cast
Kaya gerber is a terrible actress lmao
@@cyagami90TERRIBLE.
kaia is there for a sec and already the nepo fans praising. are you guys getting paid?
I saw Rachel and I knew this movie was going to be good
@@cyagami90 I literally don’t gaf HAJAJJAJAJ I love her as a celebrity
That was DEFINITELY something Chevy Chase would say.....😂
even today from what i have heard about him
Right?! I so said that too
The actor got the voice & delivery right!
Or Pierce
literally knew it way him as soon as i heard the line
THISS is how you do a period piece..they got that 70s look RIGHT

Two reason why I’ll see this movie, I love SNL and I love Dylan O’Brien.
I remember that first episode. I was a little kid and didn't know what the hell I was watching except that I was gonna come back and watch it again next week.
My mom told me it was like The Muppet Show for adults. She wasn’t wrong 😂
Your parents let you stay up that late?
@@andrewvelonis5940They were usually in bed by then and I had a hack so I wouldn't get caught. 😆
@@andrewvelonis5940most of us kids in the 70-80s didn't have much of a bedtime.
If it has Dylan… I’m watching no matter what
Yes!!!
He even sounds like Chevy 😃
That Jim Henson… wow 😮
Had to double check they didn't have some docu footage because the hair and makeup looks spot on. Sounds like Greg from Succession.

FINALLY! ITS SO GOOD TO SEE DYLAN O'BRIEN BACK! ❤❤❤
the actor nailed chevy's voice bahahah
It looks good but nobody is gonna go to the theater for this. Seems like it woulda been perfect for streaming.
I agree. Good idea but it's a "straight to video" kind of subject.
Disagree. Not everyone has access to streaming. I for one am glad that there's something grown-up to watch in the cinema (STILL THE BEST PLACE TO WATCH ANY FILM. PERIOD!) and not just another superhero or kids film.
Cool. When it tanks at the box office at least you can say you did your part. 👍
Totally agree..
But I think we're the minority

I hope we finally get a behind the scenes look at how the land shark works.
I clicked because of DYLAN ❤️
Same and I barely see him in the trailer
Been waiting for a pic like this to be made💯
last line = SEALED! 😆😆😆
I’ll see it because I remember when SNL first aired. I’m 64 years old now! 😆👍
Chevy at the end 😂
Oh yes, I'm glad to see Dylan O'Brien back on the screens! A wonderful actor and person❤
Oh my god, that was Jim Henson with his Land of Gorch puppet 😆😆
I’m here for my baby Rachel Sennott
it started in 1975!? Damn i didn’t know it was around for that long!
It certainly feels like it!
Wow. great match on the cast. especially Ackroyd.
Nicholas Braun is PERFECT for Jim Henson omg
And Andy Kaufman, so says imdb.
the riddlers playing chevy chase lmao
Glad O'Brien is getting continuous roles.
This is an excellent trailer.
1:34 Nicholas Podany let’s gooo this is huge for him
Love everything about this, especially the vibe

This is going to be Oscar nominated.
Clicked on this for Dylan. Only 5s in the trailer? 😭
"Executive Producer
Lorne Michaels"
ridiculous!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Okay, so you put his name and title in quotes. Is that supposed to mean something?
I find it interesting that they are allowing cussing in trailers.
SNL AND DYLAN MY FAVVVVVS OMG SUCH A. GREAT IDEA
Cory is gonna be so gooooooooood 😂😭😂
Whoa had to watch it a second time just to find Dylan lol

The great George Carlin at 1:00 the actor absolutley nailed the look and the voice.

well this film is coming just in time for its 50th season, the word I would describe it as : ICONIC.
This man turned a joke into a series with hope, despair, loss and hype. He deserves every bit of recognition he has and even beyond that
Oh you KNOW they picked the best cast for this, people who care about this story being told. It looks SO good’n
0:14 They look more like the cast of "Fridays."
rachel sennot appeared for like two seconds and i completely freaked out, the hair is hairing so hard

YOU DONT UNDERSTAND HOW EXCITED I AM
Nice to see Gabriel on more stuff!!
Just for the CC line I will be catching this...
There are so many people I know from movies I know in here like dylan o Brien and Finn wolfhard and many others but I can't watch 😢😢
Who is the actress alongside the Chase character at 2:00 in? She is wearing the heck outta those 70s pants and has a million dollar smile.
Ahhhhhh it's Kaia Gerber - Cindy Crawford's daughter. That makes PERFECT sense. What a looker, just like her mom.
MATTHEW RHYS IS PLAYING CARLIN??!!! I didn’t even RECOGNIZE him!
I couldn’t tell who anybody in the cast was supposed to be playing, until that last scene😓
Okay I want to watch this.
OMG I can’t wait to see this
I've always been curious, it's just always been there.
Gabriel Labelle, real good actor man loved him in The Fabelmans, also Snack Shack has future cult classic written all over it
I can't be the only one whose been waiting for this story to be told.
Damn that really looks like a young Lorne Michaels
Dylan O’Brien is such a great actor.
im excited but why isnt this releasing oct 11th next year?? why r we doing this now instead of the 50th anniversary??
He looks and acts almost JUST like Chevy.. I hope this is good.
What a cast
I did not recognize Dylan as Dan Ackrode at first. I just hope he can do his thick Canadian accent. Also, this means that Dylan will be a blues brother
Woah a movie that isn’t a sequel or from a franchise that looks Good. Definitely might check that out. Love the way it looks too

1:42 - 1:47, Cooper with shades of Phil Hoffman there.
