Ive been a fan of hers since forever. She will always be respected in my book. I love her.
Tesanne Chin's breath must smell like flowers. When she speaks, no bad word ever comes out of her mouth. She speaks English perfectly. She never badmouths anyone and she always puts Jah first.
Her parents and all Jamaica must be proud of her.

My son's father is from yard, of the Walker clan in Four Paths/Clarendon. Have you ever heard Jamaican patois? Unless you hang out with Jamaicans, it is difficult to understand.
Ms. Chin does not speak Jamaican patois when she is interviewing. Maybe she speaks it when she is at home, but when she is being interviewed, she speaks standard English.
It is wonderful to hear an educated West Indian. The accent combined with proper English sounds like singing to me.
Ms. Tesanne is very classy.
I speak English, Spanish, French and Haitian Creole. I am African American but I learned a lot from people from the Caribbean.

Everybody on the planet knows that English is the official language of Jamaica, Trinidad, Antigua, Barbuda, Bermuda, St. Kitts, Nevis, Barbados, Tortola, St. John, St. Croix Guyana, Monserrat, Dominica (also speaks French patois/Creole), St. Lucia (also speaks French patois/Creole). Many of us also know that Aruba, St. Maarten and Curacao speaks Dutch, English and Papimiento). Guadaloupe speaks French. Haiti speak French and Creole. Yes, I know a few things about that part of the world. What do you know about the United States?
I am a proud African American. I learned a lot from many culture, but I do not put any culture above my own. If you think I wish I was from the Caribbean, you're nuts. There are a lot of people who leave the Caribbean to come to the United States. There are not a lot of African Americans who leave the United States to live in the Caribbean. We like being African Americans, and we like living in the United States.

I dont understand why people can judge people so harshly without merit. You cannot say that Tessanne did not fight for her marriage because no one knows how long they were having problems. For all we know they could have exhausted every avenue before deciding to end their union. We all have to make decisions that would cause good or bad things to fall on our lives but we dont want people to kick us when we're down but show support and lend a hand if we could. Everyone who has ever met this woman has declared that she is one the most humble, genuine people they've met so people who have NEVER met de woman in allyuh life step back and let the woman deal with her personal life in her way and stop judging!

Great interview. However, I think she and her husband had problems before, it just so happpen she was more in the spot light with The Voice show, and so we got to see her husband more.
After The Voice, the demands of her time I guess put more strain on the relationship-> separation. I wish them both well.

All this talk about proper English. There is "proper"Jamaican language...yes our language is as proper as Australian English is. It is not English It is born of the lives, ancestral heritage, unique character and collective experience of Jamaicans.
There is also the Queens English...and by the way, if you have heard the Queens English and seen it written, it would be abundantly clear to see Americans do not use "proper English" for the most part. I'm all for recognizing American English though. Language is born of a society and they are a society or collection of societies too...just like the rest of us.

It is evident that Cuff wanted kids now and it is also evident that Tess has a very high regard for Celine Dion's advice concerning children. In a scenario like this, the husbands desires should supersede all others. This is what the Bible clearly advocates. So the question then becomes, are Cuff & Tess practicing Christians or is it just all lip service? My comments about the couple are completely based on "direct" public statements (Tess), nothing else. I wish them well.
