A trapper with a wharnie is interesting. I've read that with the traditional trapper pattern one would use the clip point out on the trap line all day for field dressing, eviscerating etc. Then you would have a nice sharp skinner/spey blade for processing the pelts when you got back to camp.🤷 Finch 1929 kinda has a spey look to it. When you asked if anyone had made a flipper style spey blade, I thought of the benchmade Osborne. I know they call it a reverse tanto (sounds cooler) but it’s a spey blade all day. Was it not designed by a rancher?

Not sure if Osborne was a rancher???
