My great grandmother was Haile Selassie's cousin she died a few years before i was born at the age of 106. She was traumatized after the communist coup that was persecuting the royal family memebers and the nobles. Many was killed, many fled and many went kept quiet. My mother still feasr talking about the monarchy. She lived through the communist era and the fear never left.

It was Philip who brought the doctrine (Christianity) to Ethiopia:
      Acts 8:26-27
[26]And the angel of the Lord spake unto Philip, saying, Arise, and go toward the south unto the way that goeth down from Jerusalem unto Gaza, which is desert.
[27]And he arose and went: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem for to worship,

Hailesellasie divided Ethiopians along sectarian and ethnic lines.
The country was designed a “Christian Island” as if has no Muslim population. The Amhara imposed their flag (which is historically an orthodox church flag), language and culture on all nationalities. In schools they taught Ethiopian “history “ according church narratives.
The emperor subjugated Tigrayans, Oromo, Somali, and Afar, all treated as second-class citizens.
It’s very strange that some Ethiopians still celebrate the dictator that enjoyed feeding lions while people in Wollo died in thousands because of man made famine.

Regarding The Rastafari Way of Life, in order to understand why RasTafari ppl view HIM HSI as the embodiment of the returning Biblical Messiah, you have to read a the KJV of the bible with peculiar insight on Rev.5:5 , John 10:30, 2 Sam. 7:11-16, 1st Chron. 17:11-15. There are many more verses, however those 4 are Key.

2:38 history inaccurate. yes the northern Ethiopia and modern day Eritrea was the base of the empire but they ruled father than that, at one point they even ruled across the sea what is modern day Yemen and some part of Saudi Arabia. Aksum which is a city situated in northern Ethiopia was the capital of the Aksumite empire, and the D'mit empire (the predecessor of the Aksumite empire) was based in what is modern day Eritrea and the Tigray region of Ethiopia, but their rule was not restricted to this region.
the time line you mentioned is referred in Ethiopian history as the reign of the prince's or the era of the prince's. prior to that Ethiopia (Aksum, Abyssinia is some of the names they used then) was ruled by a central King/Emperor. but during the era of the prince's local nobles were ruling their area without to answer to a central authority, it has always being customary only those whom that are directly dissidence of King Menelik the first can rule the entire kingdom. many of this prince's from that era were not directly descendent of King Menelik I, hence why they preferred to rule their local area than to submit to a centralized emperor. the Solomonic dynasty did not start when you said it did, it existed before the 15th century (it goes all the way back to Emperor Menalik I), but during ''the age/era of the prince's'' it was interrupted, however even then no one whose lineage is not from Menelik I (who is the son of king Solomon and queen Sheba) ruled the region in its entirety.

@MuktarGirma-g2x No but Ethiopian history is complex. The emperors fought off to reclaim lost territories once taken by the Oromos like Fetegar, Bizamo, Barara and so on. Even the reason Emperor refounded Addis Ababa is because it used to be the seat of the empire before its destruction during the Abyssinian Adal war. If Minilik wanted to eliminate Oromos he had power and could have done it. But his vision was to reclaim and expand but also integrate Oromos to the empire.

Tainted truth and facts, to distort the glorious history of Ethiopia Solomonic dynasty that goes back o er 3000 yrs and Christianity that stared in Ethiopia from the first century AD, from the time Philip baptized the Ethiopian Eunuch , read about it in the Book of Acts. And His Majesty never fled Ethiopia he depart after being advised by his councils to go the League of Nations petition for the cause of Ethiopia, (as the head of state,), since Ethiopia was a member of the League. His Majesty , his imperial troops and tribal warriors fought bravely and fiercely against the fascist forces for a yrs or more , and was planning to continue a gorilla warfare against the invaders but was persuaded to leave Ethiopia and go into exile and petition and warn the world of the pending doom that was awaiting Europe if they turn their backs on Ethiopia cause and allow Italy ‘s fascist regime to illegally occupy his country. It was only a hand full of British troops that assisted the Ethiopians in the liberation of their country. His Majesty and his country being a member of the League of Nations shouldn’t have been denied the support of the league while the war was raging. They refused to help Ethiopia with arms and to placed an embargo on Italy . Also, It was known that Lij Yasu committed lots of crimes against the Ethiopian people, from raping innocent girls to murdering people through Ethiopia, and rising up against Ras Tafari , breaking the covenant between them that was made when Emperor Menelik was alive . Also, it is know that Empress Zawditu dead of natural causes no fouled play. So, all you hypocrites stop trying to smear the good name and infallible character of H.I.M Haile Selassie I, we know the truth and the facts, so if you are not able to tell the full truth keep your opinion and half truth to yourselves .
