Well, before Chopin died (in 1849) his girlfriend broke up with him years earlier (in 1836), and when he was dying he must've felt some regret and sadness that you have been feeling. Stay strong, my friend!

Whenever I hear classical piano pieces in this key and style, and picture a beautiful sunset or a beautiful day in nature, my soul goes heavenward. It's a healing sound for me. Blessings to all!
This waltz tells a sad story of chopins life, because he composed it in his last years. In this time he was very sick and he morphed his emotion into music. Sorry for the horrible english, i am from austria (:
I am 79 and still remember when I was 10 year old listening Chopin biography from an old radio because at that time in my country the tv was not arrived yet. At that age I was not able to understand why they called his lover George Sand.. but I was hipnotizad by his music. Now I live in USA and thank God to TH-cam can listen and listen to Chopin , Verdi, Beethoven and all the classical pieces. This music is from heaven.
If there is one song that reminds me of my eldest brother, this is it. He played this piece every single time he came home to visit from the UK. He passed away at 37 this past November. I hope to play this one day as well as he did.
My deepest condolences about your brother. May his spirit continue to flow through you and his memory hold fast in your heart as you listen to the music he would play for you. ❤❤❤
It's so melancholic and beautiful.. seems as if it was written for a couple having their last dance, knowing they wouldn't be together anymore, but perhaps wanting to be.. it's sad and so beautiful. You can recall all the romantic and beautiful moments, while thinking about the need to leave... It's touching

In my eyes, that’s the most beautiful Chopin’s piece, what a wonderful present for my birthday ! Thank you so much Rousseau for the emotion that you offered me throughout this masterpiece !
chopin is my favorite composer for piano because in my mind he has a finger in so many genres. some of his melodies sound baroque with the mathmaetical tendencies, but play his pieces to a metronome like you might play Bach seems sooooo wrong. he feels like a predecessor to jazz with all his chromaticism and unique chords and his predictable structures and incredible melodies. cant say enough about that guy. he was a true artist.
This piece is not that long when you think about it because there are just 3 parts repeated Part A is 0:05 Part B is 0:56 Part C is 1:27 And the pattern is A,B,C,B,A,B
I've always ignored this piece but when I truly listened to it. I fell in love with it and now it's my favorite one that even serenade can't compare. Guess I'm on that full cursed love phase.

I’ve been playing piano for 7 years (I’m 12 years old) and when I saw this piece assigned to me by my piano teacher, I never thought I could play it, because of the key signature 😅. I’m still not very good at it, but I’ve come a long way! PRACTICE LIKE THIS GUY RIGHT HERE. He plays very well :>
I'm playing it for my piano teacher as well for a graded exam (also 7 years of playing!), but I chose it, and I'm beginning to think I made the wrong decision...This near all-sharp key after Claire de lune, which had nearly all flats. Plus the accidentals...Haha :') Good luck; have you finished it yet?
As one of the piano pieces featured in The Hogwarts Legacy video game, this one struck me the most and got me to think whether I should take up piano lessons again - I took lessons when i was a kid and then off-and-on again as an adult. Chopin's music is one of a kind (to me & in a good way). 😊

@@ludwiggalaxy4277 I learned it myself in a month and I only had 1 year of experience. I'd say that most of the piece is rather advanced , especially the piú lento (slow part) which would seem the easiest but is actually the hardest. The beginning has two big difficulty spikes and the piú mosso (fast part) is surprisingly easy. All in all I very much recommend it to anyone with 1 year experience. Some parts can be challenging but it will greatly improve your technique.

5 or 6 years ago I stopped takimg piano lessons while I was learning thos somg but never finished it. I just played casually for a few years now I am finally learning this again and finishing it. This is a great help as my accentuation and finger placement has really suffered over the years. Thank you!
Easily my favorite composition by Chopin. There's just this feeling I get when listening to this piece that just convinces me that everything will be fine. I love it.
You should do a Q/A, like what piano do you use, where you are from, favourite composer, etc....
his fav composer is chopin probably
i think he did a q/a in like his community posts or smth
Ahhh Chopin. Amazing. You feel his music.
Cant live without classical masterpieces. So beautiful, thank you Rousseau
I'm speechless of how relaxed his hands seems!! 😱
This piece is not that long when you think about it because there are just 3 parts repeated Part A is 0:05 Part B is 0:56 Part C is 1:27 And the pattern is A,B,C,B,A,B
I have been obsessed with this waltz since watching The Pianist. Amazing movie.

Plus the accidentals...Haha :')

@@ludwiggalaxy4277 It surely will be a challange but giving it a try could be good practice.
