Speedflying Starkenburger Hutte - Line #1

  • This has been my number one favorite hike & fly speedflyng line in the area for some time now. With takeoff near Starkenburger Hutte and landing near village "Neustift im Stubaital" in Tyrol, Austria.
    After an easy hike you reach an easy takeoff and then you just cruise down this beautiful couloir full of green trees until you reach a perfect big landing area. In summer it feels like flying in the jungle that's why we also sometimes call it "The Jungle line". (Especially with birds flying out of the trees). What I love the most is that the steepness of the line perfectly matches my weight on my Rapido 9m so as I make turns to follow the line I automatically stay nicely deep in the line and close to the trees - perfect proxy line in other words.
    Cool thing about this line is that from the top you can also fly down to the other valley - which I will show in another video soon so stay tuned ;)

    Great stuff... I prefer the Rapidos 8m myself. Thanks for posting. Dwight. Glendale Arizona, USA.

      Thanks man! I tried the 8m once and I loved it, super fast, but the takeoff scared me a bit so I stick with my 9 for now 😅

      @@speedflying_kid Thanks for getting back to me. I don't really worry about the take off, cuz here in Arizona, I just usually run off a sheer Cliff face with as much canopy as I can get over my head LOL... I'll be on the lookout for more of your videos. PS. I usually have the trimmers set for slow speed, if there is such a thing with an 8m lol.

    Magnifique vidéo comme d'habitude.
    Petite question : Pourquoi tu enleves tes trim juste avant de poser ? Car terrain en descente ? Merci

      @speedflying_kid  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Merci beaucoup!! Je les ouvre généralement pour qu'il soit plus facile d'accumuler de la vitesse/ de l'énergie pour le "flare", donc t'a plus de vitesse horizontale que verticale et tu ne frappes pas le sol si fort. Mais si le atterrissage est plus petit, je les ferme à moitié ou complètement.
