I'm a big fan of your craftsmanship mr. Morrison. I do have a question tho: How durable are the glue and the stitching? Is it suppose to be a bag to last for 10+ years with regular use?
For the bag itself? Or the zipper? For the bag, I double stitch and triple stitch the seams and corners, respectively. It will last forever! The zipper itself bears no weight on it or any forces beyond zipping and unzipping the bag. It will last forever!
Nice video and love the bag. If you don't mind constructive criticism. I'd really suggest using basking tape to apply zipper tape it is definitely alot more easier to line zippers up imo
In high school I worked part time for a leathersmith. Your videos bring back a lot of that nostalgia, and I got really strong thumbs and wrists from scrubbing saddle soap into the leather. It seemed like cleaning/restoring saddles was his biggest business. Keep up the great work!
Hi 👋 love your videos! Slower great sound and easy to see and follow. I have a question 🙋♀️ The zipper on the top is not stitched all the way from end to end. It looks like maybe 1-2 inches off each end. Is there a reason you didn’t stitch it all the way across? Please and thank you for your advice 😊
This is a great simple bag. I have a friend wanting a bid similar to this with a zipper. You made it look easy. When you stitched the zipper. How from the end did you stop? Thanks in advance and thanks for the video 😁
No but I wish he saddle stitched it rather than sewing machine.. that’s how I prefer making. Not many do it tho! Anyone can sew stuff together.. saddle stitch is an art & crafted .
Saddle stitching is much more robust as well, and if a stitch pops, it won't unravel. Machine stitches will unravel if you pop one. But ultimately, what you use comes down to SPEED. Saddle stitching is easily 10 times slower than machine stitch. So it all comes down to your needs and the client's desire and/or willingness to pay for saddle stitching.
Getting corners together can be made so much easier by simply(and carefully so it doesn't show on finished product) using double sided adhesive tape or contact cement instead or screwing around with clips on slippery leather. Seems like a pain in the rear to use clips
@@MorrisonMade I meant how do you figure out what equipment and hand tools you need, where do you aquire the materials for the craft. Obviously your link but I haven't explored that yet
@@darrellawrence3770 yea no joke I did that by just watching every TH-cam video I could. Whether it’s videos like this and just taking note of what’s being used, what’s going on, checking the links, etc. or watching videos that go into more explanation of tools needed, descriptions, etc!

May I see reel on what’s in your bag or what you use it for? Its beautiful
Hi Morrison!
Love your amazing content the Asmr stuff is just addictive!
How long did it take for you to make this bag
Beautiful. Very helpful. What kind of life did you use to cut the bottom notches ? And what type of rotary cutter?

Very beautiful work! I wonder what the price would be for the tote bag in croc leather?
Absolutely beautiful job!! Congratulations!!! Greetings from Chile 🇨🇱
I like the zipper. I’m gonna start making a few bags like that. I’ve been making just open tops think it’ll be much better.
Definitely!
Хоть я и не понимаю английский, но смотреть, как он работает с кожей - одно удовольствие
Excelente video 👍👍

How thick/heavy can you go before you absolutely have to remove the flat bed and use the cylinder arm ?
WHat size zipper do you use? also where do you buy your zipper products for purses?
I’m curious, what is the machine and dies you use when you press the two metal parts into the belt keeper?
Fantastic video! Thanks for sharing.
Me encantó muy bello trabajo felicidades
Wish my hands would still allow me to work with leather. Love your craftsmanship.
Hi bro. the video was more then helpful. thank you great content
Absolutely! Thanks for watching.
Great bag! I would like to see how to sew a linning to that tote. Thank you.
Talk to me about that press. Why'd you choose it, who'd you buy it from, and how much did you pay?
Simple and sweet. Pocket on onside ?
You need to drop an asmr version of each video. Raw sound.
Love it man! Looks fantastic, and the zipper came out great. Keep killing it!
Thank you!!
This video brought me some value.
I’m so glad!
Love this video. Im so sleepy 😪but im at work place right now 😅
just...awesome!
Thank you that was awesome
Awesome! I would have added a liner so the durability of the leather lasts longer :)
Hi Morris, would you please consider to make belt for women with 1” or 1.25” in the near future? Thank you!
After watching this, I wanted to invest on a rivet punch and some good rivets

I have no issues with this method! I enjoy it. But thank you!
You are an engineer
Too much insightful education and interesting explanations, not enough violently abusing the leather for no reason 😂
You are so right 😂 whoops
That’s badass bro!
Thank you!
Good job man hello from turkey
For my suggestion, make a leather phone case
I visited the official website today with the intention to order a chestnut belt but the prices are very high.

Break open your piggy bank and empty your pockets. This is an expensive hobby.
Trying to find a new leather wallet with magnets, think you can make me one?
I would rather have a hide that have the scars and blemishes.
Can you make a jacket?
as always, love these longer form videos! nice getting a slower paced version of the process that is actually at least somewhat followable lol
Thanks for watching 🙌🏼
