Thank you for reminding me of The Locust. I got to see them at FYF on the weekend day The Melvins and My Bloody Valentine played if I recall correctly. Musical bliss that day.
Edinburgh Fringe: Jerry Sadowitz show cancelled by venue bosses 15.8.22 0557am wow. o woe is me... and it is true all you need is tutoring in perverse sexual practicies (sic), some rants about the NHS and how terrible life is for them, the staff, and yer fine. they only wanna be told the things they wanna hear, confirming the notions he, sadowitz, set out with... anyhow; nay shop!!!
Kev Star when I first heard Lightning Bolt, the first song I ever heard was 2morro Morrow Land and I was completely blown away. My favorite bass and drum band next to OM!!
Jack Kadien 'State of Non-Return' was the first I heard by Om, and remains an all-time classic imho. An Om and Lightning Bolt collaboration would be cool... Saw DFA 1979 supporting Papa Roach years ago and, once again, what can be accomplished with 'just' bass and drums was astonishing. They were hilariously loud and caused an almost instantaneous mosh-pit! Check out 'Run Rabid Run' by Lightning Bolt if you haven't already
When I first listened I thought there was 3 members, and was so confused by how anyone could do this at all. When I learned it’s just 2 I was even more shocked

Fuckin incredible, LB is the best live performance i've ever seen, brian gibsons one of the coolest people ive ever met, and even on youtube its fucking audible chocolate.
I would kill, just so I could see them in the early 2000’s people surrounding them, dingy venue, packed to the brim, low lightning and war destroying volume. Defiantly the best concert I’ve been to even though it was 2022
I so desperately want a HQ cut of this set, Gibson's bass sounds like it has the inertia of a fucking freight train. Also nice to see JSchlatt there on the right from Chippendale xP
please tell me that you love me th-cam.com/video/6Hcw1C1AzQI/w-d-xo.html maybe this was all. I felt like i remember there being more. Bit it was a long time ago. I'll check around a bit more. This taste is insufficient.
@@NJRIII i actually tracked down the person who uploaded that video on fb. they said that erase errata shot that video and that the clip uploaded is all that they or anyone took to their knowledge. someone should probably reach out to EE and confirm that though
This should have a vinyl release. Probably one of there best performances
Saw them open for The Locust one time in Detroit. One of the most bizarre, yet rewarding, shows I've ever been to.
Jeezuz. that sounds like a hell of a show. I'm jealous.
Where was that?

So goddamn glad I've heard this recording. Thank you.
Saw them in Amherst, definitely redefined what I saw as music
I saw them at the custard factory in Birmingham the night before this was recorded. Phenomenal band, phenomenal set. That is all.
had my mind blown at the Custard Factory that night. Seen them at every opportunity since including the Thursday just gone.
I was there that night too, I was stood over Brian’s drum kit and absolutely terrified. Changed my life that gig did
It's certainly is !!

awesome stuff!
Some of my favorite audio of Brian’s vocals, they sound even more garbled than usual
Can anyone else spot Mark corrigan and Jez in the crowd?
There was once a few minutes of video of this set. Not sure the whole thing ever made it's way up

Is that David Mitchell I spy throwing up the horns in the back?
That's what i thought for a second as well, but seeing as how he hates most music besides contemporary classical, i'm doubtful.
@@AnarchyApple maybe he's in character as mark corrigan and it's one of those situations where he's miserably trying to fit in
And Webb next to him?
