(crochet) How To - Crochet Letters - Y - Crochet Extras

Following on from our alphabet series, today I show you how to crochet the letter Y. I'm still not 100% happy with this Y as part of the alphabet series so I may come back to it but hopefully it is ok for now.

I modified your Y slightly to see if I could do it without cutting the yarn. I followed your instructions right up to were you do 5 do in the same stitch but I only did 3 then ch9 and carried on with your instructions for the straight part. Once I got back where I started I put another cd midway through the next stitch then finished my cluster of 5 off the I just continued with your instructions, the Y turned out just the same but with less tails to sew in.

They also lay flat if you slip stitch all around the outside
