Thanks for sharing the parts data for the valves, seats and springs. I have done the guides before, but not the seats. All I can say is "wow!" Back in the day, I was able to match up a Manley Gen II Race Master for the exhaust valve. I think they were made for the Civic. Nice to know about SI's option. 👍 I want to build one more engine as a spare in a year or two, but I run into snags like a cam shop who has had my cams for over a year and done nothing with them. I can't even get them to return them to me. They are two states away. I may have to make a trip if I can't pull two more very rare Gen1 sets from the yard. Thanks for keeping us inspired.
Yeah, those seats turned out to have a few more surprises than I initially thought, I was not expecting those seat pocket sizes. You'd be surprised by what parts can swap between brands. Had a customer this week, he found out the 1.6L Chevy cruise piston will work in a 1.0L gas smart car engine, the only difference is the compression height is .007 lower on the Chevy piston to the Mercedes one. The Chevy one is also cheaper $60 each instead of $200 each. I don't know what is up with cam shops right now, but I've been waiting a year and a half already for a customers cams to come back so I can finish his head. I know american custom cams do the same, or at least they used to. There was another cam shop that did weld up and regrind for the saturn cams as well, but I didn't know about Delta. Thanks for letting me know about them.

Are you running stock cams
Yeah, there aren't any aftermarket ones available for these motors, but I did do the "intake cam mod" (using an intake cam as an exhaust cam).
@@differentgarage check out delta cam regrinds they weld extra material to the cam to increase lift and duration
