These videos are incredibly valuable. As a layman coming into this knowledge for the first time, and being in a position expected to get an $8m factory to a Lean $20m state of the art facility, I am eternally grateful.

Anyone notice the Lean bookshelf? Books have a stripe across them of different direction and color.

I've noticed that it is in an employees' interest is to disguise waiting time by having a sweep or anything. I've often been fired from agency jobs due to my poor disguise of waiting time! Sometimes silly things such as standing up looks more busy than sitting down. I've also had instances where I have been instructed to do something by a manager, and it turns out the manager has made a mistake and I have to reverse the work I did, having a net gain similar to playing on my phone for all of that time.
Another process which is quite hard to eliminate waste is cutting odd shapes out of sheet metal - e.g. circles out of a rectangle and then having to melt down the cutouts into new sheets - an energy intensive process.
Having an unnoticed drill bit break on a CNC machine is another one. Needs alert employees!
Contamination is another waste, particularly with different coloured injection molding.
