We had to spend a record amount of money bailing out American farmers bankrupted by his trade war before the pandemic. In 2018 the Dow had its worst year since the 2008 housing crisis-again, before the pandemic. We ended 2018 amidst the longest government shutdown in history, with essential services disrupted because Trump was mad that Republicans wouldn’t fund the wall he said Mexico would pay for. In 2019-still before the pandemic, the Fed started lowering interest rates for the first time since Bush was President to try to prevent a recession.
Then the pandemic came, Trump ignored it, pretended it was not a threat, fought against efforts to contain it, and we started using refrigerated trucks as morgues as we saw the worst health crisis in a century and the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression.
In his first year, with the pandemic actually worsening, Biden set records for job creation and new business startups. The Dow set a record for most records set in a year, childhood poverty hit a record low, and he made the largest cut to the deficit in a President’s first year.
Since then we’ve seen the deficit cut in half, the best GDP growth in forty years, the most jobs added to the economy in a single Presidential term, the Dow is hovering near a record high, and we’ve seen the largest increase in middle class wealth since the 1980’s.

Even before the pandemic, food producers were practicing "shrinkflation" reducing serving sizes while the price remained the same. Other than a raise of an eyebrow, the public did not protest especially when the pandemic served as a distraction. After the pandemic, prices rose due to post pandemic supply chain shortages. Food producers are still operating in this profitable mode by hiding their greed under the guise of inflation.
The food producers whom benefit from this "false food inflation" needs to be stopped from causing consumers economic hardship.
