It's all about the sounds. MLB uses parabolic mics on both sides of the batter to catch the 3d sound of the bat crack and one behind the catcher to catch the glove pop and umpire.

Charlotte Hornets are an exciting young team to watch Dave, and they aren’t an overly popular team kind of a under the radar team that aren’t the absolute favorites like the Brooklyn Nets are, I’m a Pacer fan so i do think the Hornets would be a good one for you to go with

You guys ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO watch Klay Thomsons 37 point 3rd quarter. It’s the greatest display of shooting and scoring in NBA history, in my opinion. Its unreal. He took 13 shots, made every single one.

Dave strikes me as someone who should be a Denver Nuggets fan. Young uber-talented roster, and Denver is a pretty eclectic city with a great bar/pub culture. Since Daz is a Nets guy then Dave could also be a Milwaukee Bucks fan to keep the Office Blokes rivalry within the same conference. Mike should roll with the Miami Heat considering his affinity for Miami with some of the past reaction vids. Plus they’re also a solid team.

yeah even the greatest shooters like Steph Curry only hit about 42% of their 3 pointers.
If you can shoot above 40% from 3, you're generally considered an elite shooter, depending on volume. Most of the NBA shoots i'd say around 33-40%.
Can you imagine them watching a video of missed 3pt shots, they'd have a 3day special.

Also, yes they are very skilled but there's a WIDE range of different skills in the NBA. Many players just straight up suck at 3 pointers, and a "good shooter" is someone that can hit 30-38% of their 3 point shots.

A small but crucial part of the shot clock that I didn’t hear mentioned was if the offensive team gets a rebound after the ball hits the rim (orange part connected to the net) the shot clock resets to 14 seconds. So in theory, a team could have possession of the ball for 2 minutes if they miss a shot that hits the rim and rebound the ball, the shot clock would reset.
Just remember, when you blokes go to shoot. If your right handed, your left hand goes on the side of the ball, as the guide hand. Your right hand pushes through. Snap your wrist as you release the ball.

You have 8 seconds to get it across half court and 24 seconds to shoot. One it hits the rim the shot clock resets to 14 seconds. If you don’t hit the rim before time expires it’s a turnover.

If a team plays a team that likes to run, they will install a new net. The newer the net the longer it takes for the ball to exist. Might be half a second, but it buys the shooting team a half a second extra step back to defend.
24 second clock the ball has to hit the rim or score a teammate cannot score if the buzzer goes off during the shot , it would be a turnover.

you get 24 seconds to get a shot off from possession, and if you get an offensive rebound it resets to 14. The ball has to atleast touch the rim on a shot taken before the clock expires or it doesn't reset and you turn the ball over.
In college basketball, the shot clock is 30 seconds, so a lot of times you see young guys in the NBA struggling to keep up with the pace of the game in their early seasons.(college basketball is also played in 2 20-minute halves, instead of 4 12-minute quarters).
