  • This intro video is long overdue and explains how I became a T2 complete paraplegic back in February 2017, a brief summary of my journey through recovery and why I chose to make this channel. Enjoy!
I hope you find my videos useful? If so, give them a LIKE, and subscribe for more. I make these videos purely to help and inspire others in a similar situation, and to show what can be achieved with some practise.
Please feel free to leave any comments, and suggest new ideas for further videos. I'll do my best to respond quickly.

I’m a t2 complete as well. I had a car accident 2 months ago. I’m still recovering & learning a lot about my injury. I am so glad that I found your channel! It’s going to help me out so much. Thank you 🙏🏻

Hi mate well done on getting on TH-cam! I have just begun vlogging myself which has been fun. Sounds like you have a lot of similarity to me with your level of injury and time frame. Best of luck. Matt

Cheers Matt, good to hear from a fellow TH-camr. Great to see you're out on a handcycle in your pic - what have you got?

@@sam-lifeonwheels9861 I have a Top end Force 2. It's an older model but I'm more than happy with it for the purposes of getting out and spinning up the miles. I've had new cables and brand new brake and it's good as gold.

Hey bro how’s it going, I’m also a t2 complete. I had my accident before you in August 2016 and you do a lot more than I do. Got to give you props, your videos have been real helpful. I’m still not driving, I need to get my license back. I got a question those big arms of yours did you have then before the accident or after? Lol. Your transfers seem so easy, I still struggle on my transfers but I don’t have big arms tho. Any videos on how you workout?

Hey man, cheers for the comment and so glad my videos help. Haha I was always strong before the accident so I had muscle memory to very quickly build back up the strength. I've lost 3 stone since making my last video and to be honest that's made the biggest difference. A lot of it is technique and repetition - strength will come and you don't have to be a brick sh**house to move about! Just keep practicing transfers and things will get easier. I've always had a can-do attitude and threw myself into anything, so I attribute a lot of my quick adjustment to new life to that really

Life on Wheels got it, I think my issue is that I’m afraid of falling I’m a big guy, maybe like you, I’m 6’1 about 220lbs. But I do definitely need to practice more, any more videos coming out?

You appear to have picked up a lot of experience in a relatively short time. I know how tricky it must have been as I have gone through a very similar ordeal except the lung puncturing which is just... Anyway, I look forward to following your videos and seeing your methods

Thanks Andrew. Yeah it's been one hell of a learning experience and I've really had to throw myself at learning all this stuff quickly to get on with life. I hope you enjoy my current and future videos and can learn from them

Yeah, I know what you mean and I have the same mindset myself. I hope you can encourage others to develop that kind of mindset too as most are low on confidence. It is Richard btw 😛

Haha so sorry about that Richard! Had just been speaking to an Andrew before replying and confused myself! A positive mindset helps a lot and I hope others can pick up on that. If I can inspire even a few people then I’ll be happy. Glad to hear you’ve been positive and have a similar mindset

I got injured on 25 Feb 2017 in a mountain bike accident in Mexico near usa border ...
    So we are close ...
What brand wheelchair you have ? And which country are you located in ? Would you recommend me to travel to your country for advanced rehabilitation? I am mostly independent but just need more wheelchair skills ...

Wow we're only a week apart in our injuries...
I have a TiLite TRA wheelchair, which was my first one, and recently got a Panthera X carbon fibre chair which is my daily, and is amazing! I'll be doing a video on it soon and comparing the two chairs so keep an eye out for it.
Im in the UK near London. Where are you based? I'm guessing America somewhere? There's lots of advanced rehab centres around both in the UK and other countries. I can suggest some ideas that I know of through research if you say where you're from?

I have Tilite ZRA that I ordered from USA.. .
Right now I live in India with my parents and work from home ...
I am not sure we have good rehab centers here in India.. but by watching youtube videos and going to a hospital of rehab I am quite independent.. Although I like wheelchair skills , i can just do a wheelie...
My sister lives and works in Dubline Ireland... i was thinking if I should go there and do a part time rehab / mostly wheelchair skills for week or 2... will that going to help me more ? also there is a chance of me travelling to USA again after few months which I can wait and see... I am also going to get my car hand controls so i can drive independtly...
      What do you recommend ?
suggest all your ideas that you have for me and also share the wheelchair videos of yours ... that will help...
