Lonnie Yancdy Sounds like some kind of fuel issue. Engine isn't getting fuel somehow. Leaking lines? Maybe you put the carb back together incorrectly, or forgot to put a piece back in. If it has spark and compression, the only thing it could be is fuel delivery.
Spark, fuel, and compression make an engine run. Put the plug in and try to start the engine without the plug wire. Than take the plug out and see if the plug is wet. Also do the leakdown test
Brandon, not sure if you still have the quad or not, but could you tell me what you have as far as jetting? I have a 97 Scrambler 400 with an HPD trail pipe and VM38 that I'm trying to get dialed in. Yours sounds mean as hell by the way! Love it!
I have 1996 i wase rideing it and it just stoet .and now its blowing comepreasion out the card.want start at all.sounds like its either out of time or something eles.please can i get any feed back.please

What about fuel to the cylinder. That is what I was explaining.
Lonnie Yancdy Check the carb over once more, then check the fuel line that goes from the carb too the engine for any issues.
I just got a 95 sport 400 and I can't really find much info about them, do they run the same motor as a scrambler?
They are pretty much the same. Bike bandit has the best diagrams for finding parts if you need them.
