This highlights package does not show how incredibly clutch Shesterkin was in the third period and overtime. The Tkachuk chance with a minute to go, the INSANE powerplay where the Panthers ran the Rangers penalty killers ragged but could not figure out how to get past Shesterkin, the chances and pressure in overtime too, the guy singlehandedly stole this game, one of the greatest performances ever. Panthers will need to try and make more tip-ins/redirects/deflections to get goals more reliably, elite snipes like Forsling's goal won't happen often enough to win games.

These highlight vids are gonna be horrible as archival footage in the future... you don't actually get most of the game highlights in the videos besides the goals. But if you look back on YT, the 2013 highlight videos for example are great, but not these that's for sure. I think they are automated
Trouba had a God awful game and should be thanking Shesterkin and the team for bailing him out. Almost cost us the game with his penalties and poor positional play. If the Rangers don't win this series I want him tossed into the Hudson River.
That second Laf goal was the goal of the playoffs for me. Just fantastic effort and finish.
Too bad he didn't put out Bobrovsky in the process.

There are some players in every sport who are always so clutch in the playoffs. Barclay Goodrow is definitely one of those players
Goodrow is really making a case to be put on the Power Play. Ditto with Lafreniere. We have to change the special teams strategy if we want to win the next game on the road because it's just not working
Some criticism in NY about his contract but baby, has he ever earned this year. He's a winner and you can see why he's won 2 cups. Glad we have him. LHR

Honestly it's insane to me how precisely these guys can shoot the puck these days... they are scoring from impossible angles and picking corners of the net that have such a narrow window to be able to be shot straight in, it's mind boggling to me. They must practice those types of shots for hours and hours every single day!

The winner of this series wins the cup. Edmonton or Dallas don't have a chance against either one of these teams in my opinion. The goalies on these teams are unreal.

Toronto, Montreal and NYR fans always take over others arena. They had to ban Canadians from coming to Florida last year for the Leafs/Panthers series. Fortunately, there are ALOT Leafs fans in America and made up for it, lol. This is also why i see Bettman giving the series to Florida in the end.

they didnt rest, they worked hard but got shut down. Playoff series are almost always decided by depth... But yes those 3 are totally struggling, but lets not pretend they havent had their moments. kreider is the reason we didnt play game 7, panarin has 4 game winners. and zibanejad has 14 points. The panthers are keying in on those 3 and fox....they are playing with a lot of pressure and suffocated.. hopefully one or 2 of them break through and have a game.

If anyone had asked you during the summer what you thought the score of a Conference Final game with two of the best goalies in the league -- who were both on fire in their previous series -- would be, I don't think many people would have said "5-4". I have a feeling these highlights don't quite do it justice.
This was a game that showcased the deceptive backhand!
Man hockey is such a unique playoff experience. The highs and lows of this game as a rangers fan it’s literally breathtaking. The sinking feeling giving up the first powerplay goal oh no here we go in the dumps. To the amazing high of 2 quick goals jumping on cloud nine. They tie it up okay let’s settle down.2 goals in the 2nd has us rangers fans going absolutely nuts. Not to mention the TROUBA incident rollercoaster in between. Then to see Florida absolutely positively dominate swarm and tie it and have to watch 10 mins at 4-4 hoping we make it into OT. Just completely negative going into ot game on a knife’s edge and boom pure EUPHORIA!!! PLAYOFF HOCKEY IS THE BEST OUT THERE NOTHING LIKE IT LGR HALF WAY TO THE FINALS 2 MORE TO GO FOR A CHANCE LGR!!!!!!

Both Lafreniere's goals were awesome. I do feel bad for Bob on his second one. I never heard anyone mentioned the fact that Laf's leg kicked up at the end and his foot and skate blade swatted Bob on his mask near his neck. I cringed when I saw that. I'm sure it was unintentional, but it really clocked Bob.

This is exactly why they play a best of 7. Florida totally out played the Rangers but luck out weights hard work sometimes.

If this game was being played in the '50s, there'd be a goalie being rushed to the hospital.
If this was the 50's, toe drags would get you a punch in the face by the defenceman and no penalty call. He wouldn't have made it to the net; either or both defencemen would have flattened him. But good thing the goalie had a mask and neck protection none the less.

Why are the seats so empty? It honestly sounded the same when the rangers scored a goal with the atmosphere other than the goal horn for when Florida scored.
It was not empty. Packed and buzzing. Crowd was 60-70% panthers 30-40% rangers.
When cats were pressing in the 3rd especially late that arena was shaking. Don't forget that's one of the biggest arenas in NHL 20K+

@jadonrahman I was there that arena was sold out. All game and especially late in the 3rd when cats were pressing hard and nyr was just dumping. That arena was shaking from all the noise. Fan support was not issue. At the time stamp you mention people might have been still coming back from restrooms/concessions cause lines were long AF.
I've been to that arena multiple times and never seen it like it was today.

Panthers outshot Rangers a lot, had way more scoring chances, and could have won 8:4, but Igor switched back to the playoffs mode
