I was JUST rewatching ur old videos very excited
Honestly SLC has this weird meta feeling to it. It’s like a housewife parody that takes itself serious and its sooo insane to watch uncanny valley style. As much as I liked heather and Meredith in the first 2 seasons they really did themselves in with their support for Jen and now heathers backtracking. Lisa is just good tv she delusional and I love it. I honestly really like Dana and Angie K. I think Angie has that desperation that honestly fits the unsettling vibes that comes with SLC. I just would like to see where that goes but if they end up leaving I’ll be okay.

I love that you used the term "unsettling" because I think that is the word that best describes this franchise....something about it is so off in a almost scary avant garde art deco film type of way lol. Like I wouldnt be surprised if at the final season of this franchise they all turn to the camera and laugh and say this was all a scripted social experiment or something lmao. It's just too weird but sooo entertaining

Yes!! I rewatched Jersey recently and I was always team gorga .. literally from season 3 up until somewhere during season 13. I actually started questioning things when Teresa and Melissa went on UGT bc Teresa speaking about how they got on the show behind her back and starting shit with her before then and honestly I always thought Teresa was just not smart enough to keep a lie straight .. but shes sang thing same tune for over a decade … now going back there is a lot of things Melissa and joe both have done then was like Teresa how could you?! I feel that there’s a lot that goes on behind the scenes and Melissa does her shit behind cameras whereas Teresa does it all for the world to see so she looks like she’s the bad guy with a hardon for Melissa … then the whole Gia thing. I don’t think she should be getting involved with that Shit period however joe and Melissa saying Gia called joe to say leave Melissa you can do better … in the middle of the feud coming back first off I do not think for a single second that even if Gia thought that, that she’d ever tell joe that. I don’t think she’d ever give them that ammo does that make sense? But her saying if Melissa doesn’t want to go to the wedding fine, leave her home and you come .. you and mom can do better for nonno and nonna seems more real. But to lie on your niece on national TV and even if she did say what joe and Melissa say she said .. to throw your niece/goddaughter under the bus like that is fucked up. I could go on and on from the beginning the christening - Melissa says giudice charged gorga … didn’t happen. Then season 5 again Melissa’s like joe giudice starts charging at joe and I … yes he came in hot yelling apologize! But it again was joe gorga who went after giudice. Let me make one thing very very clear I DO NOT THINK TERESA IS AN INNOCENT IN ANYYYYYYYY OF THIS. I do not think that at all. I do think however that the gorgas are not innocent at all! They really had me fooled. So I’d love to see a deep dive on them and see others opinions of that.

I totally agree with you about watching the season in one sitting! My theory is that production filmed a lot with Jen expecting to get one more season out of her during her trial, but when she pleaded guilty they went back and cut a lot out so that the chapter on Jen was closed and the show could move on with the core 4 and the reason why the drama felt "stale" was due to production making due with what they had.

I seen alot of ppl hated Whitney and I loved her this season. She did great tbh and kinda carried the season with her and heathers friendship faltering. She was vulnerable about her family’s issues, her trauma, and she was still able to have good moments such as partying and being in the drama. She was great. I’m team Lisa Barlow. I couldn’t even get through the second season reunion cuz they all were on Lisa’s behind and it was annoying seeing them bully and team up on her. Great video as always. I have a few comments of my own on the season:
-We seem to be in a strange phase of Housewives where the cast is mainly superfans of Housewives and Bravo and it's the lunatics running the asylum. In general principle I miss the drama being organic, not SO staged and thirsty
-WeAther have both become insufferable, even if they're personally on the outs. Both are starved for fame and Whitney's baby voice is really becoming maddening
-Lisa is a monster and Meredith has become really insulting and condescending
-If there's a third Angie next season that might be a dealbreaker. Who knew Utah was fully of so many thirsty Angies desperate to be on Bravo?
-As for Jen, in addition to jail time, the best punishment for her is obscurity. It's time to leave her behind and move on to bigger, better, and brighter things.

Oh, boy. You better believe that I love overanalyzing Housewifes, so, now that the season is over, let me do my over-the-top innecessary essay about RHOSLC3.
    *Introduction*
First of all, I think we all agree that this has been a bizarre season, probably the most undercooked that RHOSLC has served to us until now. The reasons why I guess it has happened are:
    *Problems:*
    1. The cast was too small: with such a reduced number of housewifes, creating drama was something difficult for a show that relies on it. I mean, if there are only four people in the room and you are meant to fight against someone or get fired, there aren't many options... The lacking number of ladies, also made the alliances shift in weird unexpected ways that, although intriguing, felt chaotic. They five had to travel and do stuff together and, at the same time, fight eachother, so I found myself a couple of times thinking... What the hell is going on? How could they fight and reunite fight and reunite ad aeternum?
    2. There wasn't much going on: well, to be honest, the ladies don't necessarily have to fight eachother. If their lifes had been interesting enough, they would have had something to show us. But, unfortunately, there wasn't much... Besides Whitney's recovery (about a traume never specified) and Heather's book (remember: she launched a party for the cover), the five main cast didn't have any endearing personal storyline.
    3. Jen was problematic af: Jen's trial tipping point polarized the group. When the cast was larger, Jen's legal problems appeared in a more subtled way, like one of the rest of the storylines, and the ladies had more room to tip-toe around it. But it coming to an end, made them pick a side, and oh boy, it was so uncomfortable watch it unfold...
    *The ladies:*
    1. Lisa: I would say her character has been revitalized the most and that she seems to be the great winner of the season, landing floor with her four legs in most of the situations. Lisa seems to be the type of girl you hate in high school (she's rich, pretty, popular and gets whatever she wants) and that's why I think so many people hate her and was vandalized during second season. However, her hot mic rant and her showdown with Meredith showed another face of her, more humble, and I think she was in the rght side of her story during her apoplogy parade, that lasted for episodes. Besides, some of the most hilarious moments of the season are hers: singing 'Away in manger', impersonating Meredith's "Don't go there", "At least I don't go popping pills... BITCH". All of them are so unintentional... I guess that the Lisa herself doesn't realize how hysterical she is.
    2. Meredith: Oooooof. My favourite housewife of SLC really made me go through a path of thorns this years. I understand she has all the right tobe pissed with Lisa after her mic moment (please Bravo, keep playing it once per episode), but, for me, Lisa was on the right. She appologized many times and, while it was Meredith's prerogative to forgive her or not, instead of giving a clear answer, Meredith dragged the topic the whole season. Not only that, she reacted by putting nasty rumors in circulation. All of that, it didn't serve any other purpose than reviving Lisa's character. Anyway, I love Meredith because she's more mature, intelligent, articulated and well-spoken than the rest of the ladies, but this season I've felt her a bit out of her game. LVP's machinations don't suit her well. (Side note: am I the only one having a crush o Seth?)
    3. Whitney: Oh boy, this season really lether chaotic, deranged, wild energy run. I've never been a fan, because I have problems figuring out who she really is: is she a pot stirrer, a batton passer for other's second hand dramas, a "little girl" who doesn't stand out that much? Until now she has never seemed to commit to a single role, but this season she said "why choose? Let be everything everywhere all at once" and the proceed to create havoc in every room she entered. I don't know, I felt her a little bit all over the place and didn't commit to any of her antics.
    4. Heather: for me it's still a yes. She brings much of the weird sarcastic energy, a la Khloe Kardashian, but I still get why some viewers turned her back. The whole black eye drama was poorly handed and her position during Jen's trial was painful to see. In any case, I can mildly excuse her: first, I get that she didn't want to add insult to the injury by throwing Jen under the bus regarding her eye; second, the situation of Jen was difficult to handle. It would have been much more easier to send her to the curb, but, after years of filming with someone, I get she may have developed some sense of respectability towards, not only her, but her family, and probably didn't want to make them suffer more by treating their mother as a liability.
    5. Jen: the mess that we don't need any longer. One would expect that, after the whole FBI and trial happening, Jen would take her attitude a notch down. Well, let me tell you that it dindn't happen at all. She has been so abrassive and agressive as always. A dog of all barks and no bites, in my opinion. Watching her acting all tough knowing how everything was going to end for her really put her character one step aside: the emperor was naked. She was nothing but biter, throwing wine to Angy, lauching her shoes off board, taking receipts to harm the others... She hitted the fan and none of her antics really ment nothing. Not any longer. Not today, Satan. We don't want it.
    6. The friends. With such an small ensemble, you can get why Bravo decided to throw not one but three new friends to the mix, just hopping one of them will stick to the wall. One of the things I like is that the cast at least seemed diverse and portrayed different versions of what being a Housewife means: we have the chaotic pot stirrer Angie H (in line with Lisa and Whitney); the more mature and articulated Danna (Meredith) and the in your face attitude Angie K (Jen). I am lost about which ones will be picked for a comeback and which not. All of them have reasons to return but, at the same time, I feel that none of them made such a big splash. Anyway, the show has such a low number of housewiifes, that I wouldn't be surprised if we get an overall approved and all them three come back net season. After all, we need new sap in the franchise.
    *Conclusions*
Well, as you can imagine, my opionion regarding the third installment of RHOSLC is not the best. The season felt limited, orthopedic and continually folding over herself, bringing once and again old feudsand creating forced situations and alliances out of nowhere because there weren't any other ladies. Jen's legal problems should have been the main storyline (as Erika's were in RHOBV season 11),and instead of that we get a room full with four beheaded chickens screaming and feunding (and only, ocasionally, delighting us with an 'Away in manger' recital). Hopefully, the producers will realize that the current formula is exhausted, will let the ladies rest for some months, and come back with some new cast members and better storylines.

You got everything spot on, even productions weird antics this season. Rumour mill says production set the black eye stuff up, told HG that they had video footage which they never showed her, hence why she was saying ‘they know who they are’. Jen 1000% has stuff on Meredith flashback to the reddit fish rumours of last years reunion. Personally Ive enjoyed all 3 FOHs and would like to see them all get a shot at a ❄️ as they each bring something different. Angie K had more loyalty to Lisa then Jen and Meredith and Angie H are friends off show. Wish they had shown Danas fight with Jen as she is a wildcard to watch if she comes back and would love to see an interaction between her and Ms Cosby. Finally Mary needs to come back FT as now Jen has gone the light will be fully on her and this could either work in her favour or be her downfall (the tone deaf remarks 2.0) love love love ( in my Teresa voice) your channel. Love the deep dive as always. I agree that there was something tonally different about S3 after such strong opening seasons but cast changes and the undertone of Jen Shah's legal woes (Sutton voice) made it feel quite heavy. I think the season could have been lifted had they injected some new blood as a welcome distraction but it felt like they wanted to centre the season around Jen's drama and just keep it to the core cast we've grown to know and love. The addition of friends helped as I was craving something more, especially with such clear divides in camp.
Whitney Rose - I've always been a bit on the fence with Whitney, I sometimes feel that she uses her spirituality and need to 'cleanse' as a vehicle to force drama and essentially stir the pot. I think the way her abuse trauma had resurfaced from therapy seemed quite extraordinary and it was weird how it was handled by the rest of the cast, I don't know if I was expecting to see more given how many therapy sessions we saw Dorit in but once it was dismissed by Heather it felt like the story subsided. I do prefer Bad Weather together, however, in having this divide from Heather, I feel like Whitney has had to find her own voice and therefore strayed from stirring the pot to taking a more active role. The dissension of Bad Weather feels like one of the things that made the series feel a little less joyful, especially as it seemed both Whitney and Heather played the card of wanting to go back to the way things were but having these conditions on the other for it to get there and ultimately not going anywhere.
Lisa Barlow - In the first season, I could not stand Lisa but I've really grown to like her and consider her a staple of the franchise, her awkward delivery of things, her need to brag and show off and her general lack of self-awareness (at times) is so endearing. I think coming in on the back foot also helped me warm to her as she was very much sat on the naughty step, which meant she couldn't always play the holier than thou card. I think the rumours seemed wild and baseless and while it caused a lot of drama, she did handle it well by stepping aside and letting it become more about Whitney and Heather trying to line up their stories rather than entertain the idea. I think Lisa gets a lot of flack thrown at her because she puts herself on a pedestal but she seems to handle herself well. I think she just needs to admit the fact that what she said in the hot mic moment wasn't a set of random adjectives strung together. I get that she was hurt but she's clearly had these underline tensions that have caused her to think these things or at least heard some of the things second-hand.
Meredith Marks - I would describe Meredith as an alpha in the pack but I also feel like I couldn't lose her from the show. Meredith has this contradicting vibe of "I DGAF" while very much revelling in whatever it is that's being said that may involve her. I also quite like that sometimes she will just disengage from an argument rather than milk it for camera time. I think of all the cast, Meredith has always been the most self-edited but I like the fact that she uses her passiveness to plant seeds rather than become a bit-part player. It did feel like a quieter season, I'm hoping without Jen that her and Heather can get a bit of a release, although they did very much put themselves in that situation.
Heather Gay - I know you said she's despised now, but for me, Heather is the face of RHOSLC. I think the issue is, as you said, she was the narrator and the fun girl in the first two seasons and then it felt like she woke up in S3 and chose chaos. I get that the book may have triggered some things for her, but I also feel that Housewives have used this as an excuse for their behaviour previously. I found what you said about Whitney and Heather becoming emotionally incompatible to be sadly true, I think Heather's always had this insecurity that had made the viewer identify with her and this season it felt like she stopped being the girl you rooted for and instead was the one you wanted to shake. I think her inability to give an answer about the black eye and her creating this dynamic of keeping Whitney begging for her friendship just made it feel like she was milking moments. I don't dislike her, I think she out of everyone was marred by Jen's presence and part of me feels like she wanted to stay loyal to her because despite what Jen was going through, she wanted her to remember that she had stuck by her - which is why she still refuses to say anything against her. I'm hoping the lows of this season will encourage her to have a better S4.
Jen Shah - I think it was such a bizarre season, I don't think anything could touch the drama of the police turning up in S2. It's odd to see how Jen handled discussions of her case in comparison to what was happening in Beverly Hills. While Erika seemed to have people talking behind her back that would result in a confrontation over dinner, it didn't feel like Jen caught that same heat. I think it's difficult because she does have a family so saying things to hurt her can only hurt them. I think Jen had been a massive part of the show, although I think that without her, there'll hopefully be a little bit of breathing space to have fun without people looking to each other to make sure they hadn't upset her.
Angie Hamilton - The finsta storyline is still so bewildering to me, but I actually wouldn't mind to see more of Angie. Could it be a case that she's a Marlo and makes a better friend than housewife? Possibly. I think that Angie and Chris have an interesting homelife, the wealth and the pettiness to deserve a trial run in the very least. I also think that the remaining core four need more than just their allies, otherwise we're heading into RHONJ territory.
Angie Katsanevas - Again, I'm happy to give her a trial snowflake. Angie felt like she came in ready to fight for a spot on the show and even in the reunion, she made sure to have her voice heard. I was confused by her flip-flopping between Lisa and Jen, but part of me feels like she was trying to drive the narrative. I think there were moments where Angie was doing more than perhaps some of the core cast. Despite this, it doesn't feel manufactured in the sense that there's no drama there, more that Angie is making sure she's got a place at the table for it. I don't know, maybe I just love a Greek Goddess themed dinner party.
Danna Bui-Negrete - I really wanted to warm to Danna. At times it felt like she was the only one calling out Jen, but by this point the conversation had been had so many times over two seasons, it just didn't catch the same heat. I do feel like producers did her dirty but cutting out her row but then at the same time, it always felt like it wasn't natural for Danna to fight with the rest of the cast. It felt like she had to 'learn the ways' of being on the show, being told what the dynamic was whereas both Angie K and H came in throwing gas onto the fire. I also felt like she came into the reunion really trying to stand her ground and the rest of the cast did not seem in her favour. I can see her making guest appearances but I don't know if she'll be friend level, let alone full cast.
Overall, I think the season was okay. I always find smaller cast seasons more stifling, which is why RHOC in recent years has been a bit more of a struggle. I would've preferred production to try and address this but given the quick set-up for S3, it seemed like there potentially wasn't the time. I think S4 will naturally be a big shift and I'm hoping it's onwards and upwards - especially with Mary Cosby is a friend role as this feels a lot more natural for her.
Can't wait for the next video!

I liked Season 3 but they need a change. As for Whitney, I really cannot stand her, every time she brings something up about someone, she expects someone else to have her back on it all the time even if they don't know it to be true, she was the true gaslighter of Season 2, the gaslighter for Season 3 was Heather. I LOVED Heather but this season not so much. Honestly I think Heather needs a little break and comeback stronger. Meredith also kinda turned me off this year she really went from anti-Jen to anti-Lisa which I get but she cannot bring up the same thing over and over again. Honestly Jen (oddly enough & still don't condone what she did nor her behavior) and Lisa were the only entertaining HW's this season. I personally don't want Whitney back, I think Heather should take a break (for a season) and maybe leave Danna off next season (I Like her but she wasn't that entertaining to me, outside of standing up to Jen). Bring back Meredith, Lisa, Angie K & Angie H full time, 2 new full time and bring back queen Mary Cosby as a friend (which I think is happening)

I’ll always be die hard team Lisa Barlow and team Meredith. My experience this season was actually seeing a side of Heather I enjoyed more than ever in the first half of the season but the black eye fiasco completely jeopardised my growing Heather fondness. I had always liked Whitney but didn’t like her and heather’s unwavering view of Lisa being this insane villain in season 2. In season 3, to me Whitney actually became more frustrating to me. I can rarely follow her viewpoint in disagreements with the other castmates and a lot of it feels put on. But I hope we get more of the friends of this season (Or at least Dana). I feel like all of them if they have more time to cook in the group possibly with more newcomers and Mary it would be a really interesting dynamic. I think a Miami cast vibe with the cast for season 4 would be a really engaging shake up with lots of interesting cast dynamics.

I haven't watched The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, and I'm honestly not sure if I want to watch it. This installment seems to be too dark in my opinion, especially with the Norman Church and with Jen. I honestly didn't think I would find a housewife more frustrating than the OG of the OC Vicki Gunvalson(I'm not gonna lie, I really don't like Vicki as a person. Sure, she was funny, but that's literally the only thing I like about her.), but I did. Just from this video alone, I can't stand Jen. Not only was she a HUGE bully, but she was so nasty, violent(Yes, I think threatening to get physical counts as being violent)and just plain exhausting when she didn't get her way. And that's not addressing her foul crimes, the elephant in the room. But now, that she's gone, I might take a look.

I get why it all resulted in Lisa going on that tirade (not a hot mic.) bcs I was also getting tired by Mer, but we shouldn't pretend Lisa is faultless. In any case, for rhoslc to become enjoyable to watch again, the two need to somehow find the relationship they had before they started this show and start being honest with each other. Came back here after 7 months to give it another go to if this season will be successful, If Meredith was a bit cheeky and did not have the stoic or icy persona, she could've gotten away with her Vanderpumpian ways of medelling and stirring the pot in season 3, but I don't think she connects to the audiance in the same way Whitney's chaotic yet vulnerable and charming energy. But I love that for Meredith because I don't think there are that many housewives having as icy personas, or the ones that are similar are older in age in comparison to her and their castmates. I can excuse her not living in SLC full time and living in vacation rentals bc she is an interesting tv persona.

I have a friend who has had a family member with a Xanax addiction and since season 1 they have said they think Meredith is on Xanax. Personally, I think it would make the black eye story interesting. I think Meredith gave Heather and Jen a Xanax that night; explaining how Heather was so drunk without drinking much, why she is being so coy about the whole thing because she not only doesn’t want to expose Meredith but herself, and why she wouldn’t remember anything. Not to mention, xanax has a tendency to make users angry and unlike themselves especially when mixed with alcohol. As a bonus theory I also believe they took it the night in Scottsdale too. Heather was so reactive to Whitney to the point where she was pushing her and it just didn’t make much sense to her character in my opinion.
