I love Pandit Venkatesh Kumar. He brings out the essence of each piece and each raga he takes up, very sweetly and reliably. And like someone else said, he has retained his voice and its sweetness even going past age 70. I am probably 10 years older than him and a serious Sitar hobbyist myself, and enjoy listening to him, because he does not waste his time before jumping into the heart of a raga or a bhajan. Great man, great singer, desering of National awards. Long may he live to bring out more jewels for music lovers.
He is in the cadre of Sri Pandit Bhimsen ji.. Somehow I feel he is extremely underrated. What a divine voice. It is actually a bliss to even watch him sing.
I absolutely agree. He likes "drut"... fast! I listen to him only during my treadmill runs.
One of the side benefit (!) of him being underrated is TH-cam doesn't play many advertisements :)

Wah! I had been listening to this Bhajan since- I can't Remember since how many years- but whenever I happen to get a Chance.I almost try to sing every word of the Bhajan Alone the Singer.Shri.Venkatesh Kumar ji has sung it Very "Impressively"....I occassionally HUM it myself..
He is the only one who can equal Pandit D V Paluskar while singing this bhajan. What a melodious voice.
