Thanks! Time to dig out my old BU Canadian Rolls. I broke them open, but never went through them much. I mostly have the 1867 - 1967 Centennials with the bird on them, which are emaculate red with no issues, but I also have many from the 30's and 40's, not so perfect, but not bad.
Only three are known to be in possession of the 36 dot. Just wondering if I am one of the three. At a coin show everyone was lined up to look at it. The value has apparently gone up a lot. The last time I looked it was $106,000. Hard to believe... $400,000?

Ok so I got out my coin exactly like this one, but your date says 1936 , and you mention it was from 1920? The coin I have is dated 1919. It is the exact same coin, the reverse says In the center, One Cent Canada (Lg Caps) and then 1919 How ever the reverse is designed differently that yours. The words and date are in the center, in a special ring, on the rest of the coin there is a vine with leaves that circles the edge of the coin. then right before the edge there are raised dots all around just before the edge/band. Its a beautiful coin. Thing is I wonder what the composition is? Because I know what copper should look like, and it doesn't look like copper. There is something showing on the crown and his coat? It gleams like Gold. I wonder if this coin, was a special sale they did, like we do proof sets here? What size is you 1936 coin? Mine is the size of a Quarter. The other coin you have I have is dime size.

Je l'ai trouvé mais je suis allé la faire évaluer mais le monsieur m'a dit que cette pièce à dû être monté sur une bague Cau il manque le dessus et le bas de la pièce. On y voit très bien les écritures, le visage et même l'année 1912. Mais si cette pièce vaut quelque chose j'aimerais bien le savoir!
I may be able to help you. Your description isn't very easily understood. I am very experienced i key date coins and would be glad to help you. Lucky it is for us who find them. But please remember. It is not just the date or errors that create a valuable coin. There are other factors involved including rarity,condition, desirability, mintage and demand. Also how many at the exact same grade have been authenticated by professional coin grading company. Which leads to another factor, is the coin graded or not. You cannot share photos of your coin with me here
I have a similar coin although it's not a one cent. it's made of silver I believe 1927. I have no clue what it is I tried to do research and find similar coin but nothing that's exactly what I have

I’ve got a 1936 penny King George V but no dot under 1936…
that means it was made it 1936 I luckily have the dot and couldn’t be happier
