Yes, he studied several historical examples for proportions. In his book "The Classical Orders of Architecture" he displays orders from Palladio, Vignola, Serlio and others - and he also designed his own "versions" of the classical orders based on those examples
@@SebastianvonThaden do you have any advice (or template) on how to construct the "Raking Cornice"/"Crown Molding" (Doric Order)??? it's almost the only thing that is missing now for me, to construct a whole house... the other thing(missing) has to do with the balustrade, do you think one can simply use a design of pedestals (made for columns) as the divider in a balustrade?
