Dume really said "I am the Senate" a WHOLE YEAR before Revenge of the Sith released
This makes the movie seem a lot more dystopic, dark and epic! Bravo!
Binging Beast Machines and the Vahki Flash animations will do that to you.
It was a pretty dark movie.
@@APinchofBazel I see you’re a man of culture as well
@@noahmartin7644 let us praise these gestures
Crossover comment moment.
Love the part where the Ga Matoran turn around and its the Vahki, Great use of scenes!
Thanks!
Color-graded the Vahki shot and everything to have it better match the Ga-Matoran shot. Did that with a couple other pairs of shots too if you keep an eye out, though I’m not sure how well that came through in the execution.
I can't get over the fact that Makuta had a super secret hiding place that he goes to to talk to himself.
You don’t?
Love it, also love how the vahki got more screen time in this than the actual movie lol
Every legend has a Beginning.
I will show these trailers you made to friends whenever they feel curious about Bionicles and their movies
That was fucking awesome. Now we just have to wait for Web of Shadows.
I hate that modern trailers reveal almost everything about the movie, but damn do I love bionicle, and this was hype.
Here I go re-watching bionicle 2 again.....
This got me hyped for a rewatch
The sound mixing of this is so good, I love that you made it so that the original sound effects and music don't interfere with the trailers.
It was a helluva learning experience, but it’s one of those things I like to think I’ve gotten better with as these trailers went along.
Little less dramatic than the other ones you made in this series, but honestly that makes sense for the movie.
I bet they would’ve used this trailer if this movie was in theaters
In the words of Matau:
WOOOO WOOHOOHOO!!!
also nice touch to leave the question open to if they managed to rescue their brothers or not
Spot on
Awsm fan trailer for bionicle it is very modern no matter how old it’ll get!!
Okay, I have a number of things to say. I came to see this video after seeing the previous one that was amazing.
First of all, I absolutely love how you try to emphasize Metru Nui as a truly dystopic 1984 state run by Turaga Duma. I think the only way that could've been better, is if you added the scenes from the video game that state that Obedience is Happiness, and a Happy Matoran is a Happy worker. But considering that those are not part of the movie, I'm not upset that you didn't add them. Already there, excellent job.
I also particularly like how you really try to make it seem that it really was Vakama's fault that Lhikan disappeared, and that the Turaga, the Matoran and even the other Toa are suspicious or against him. It really highlights the potential isolation Vakama finds himself in, and how he is being manipulated by the Makuta Teridax. Hearing Nokama desperately try to give him some sense of confidence is a nice touch too, especially since she's the most beloved of the Toa Metru. That scene with her staring down the Kikanalo is such an iconic scene. At Matau cheering her is also a funny moment.
Once again, a lot of moments are perfectly in sync with the Rhythm of the music which is a lovely touch, and I love how we see the build up to Nidhiki at the mid/end of the video. As much as I love seeing Vakama landing in front of the Makuta Teridax at the end, I don't think it fits really well in the trailer since it absolves him from the suspicion. But that's just my opinion.
My only complaint, and it's a pretty big one; is that there's way too much going on. We barely have enough time to see one image and we're suddenly shoved into the next scene, which does make the trailer a bit messy. Same with the audio. It sometimes feels like a slot of characters are talking over each other. Which is a damn shame, because there's clearly a lot of potential in this trailer. It just needs a little extra cleaning and it's perfect.
All in all, an absolute joy to watch, if not a little exhausting. Where the first one was a solid 10/10, this one would be a 7/10.
Looking forward to the next videos.
Vakama and Nokama's relation here is truly even more perfect and Matau's iconic actions were so great for that moment of the trailer.
I’m loving these trailers you make.
Yooooooooooo! This was fucking epic. Bionicle 2: Legend of Metru Nui is the best Bionicle movie ever.
Damn! Now we're talking! You add a lot of epicness, deep and the musics you choose fit so much! Great job!
This is so magnificent
That was actually amazing! Wow
I've watched this movie for years. I wish they made the running time a little longer.
Epic and Best!!!!👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
It's sooo good, near perfection!
I wish the bionicle movies were on some streaming services!!
Being on TH-cam for free feels like a pretty good consolation prize.
Yeah it is I just wish these movies got more love and attention!
When Nokama says "we will" reminds me of Black Widow saying the same line in Endgame trailer!
Can I say it? The pacing here seems MUCH more on-point than it did in the actual movie; really nice work! Makes me want to rewatch the movie again, but I just know it won't be as epic as your trailer is...
Any plans for making a full-length recut of the movie to make it all feel this epic? Because I'd be here for that xD
Much appreciated, man.
Unfortunately recuts are only as good as the footage and recordings movies have to work with. I’ve flirted with the idea of doing a chronological supercut of the trilogy, or at least 2 and 3, but that’s about it.
LOMN, like the rest of the trilogy, kinda has to be taken as it is. It’s a pretty stuffed-up movie too, and the trailer only feels as brisk and focused as it does because I opted to cut out any mention of, say, the Great Disks or the Mask of Time, and manipulated the scope a bit to make the Vahki, and Dume’s reign, a more prominent threat. I saw a theme and had the means to commit to it.
Trailers provide that freedom to essentially tell stories in of themselves. They ought to derive from the movie, sure, but to make it palpable in a 2-3 minute framework, liberties can and _should_ be taken to make things both simpler and more exciting. In the context of actual trailers, it can even make the events of the respective movie more of a surprise, for better or worse. It’s something I’ve been using all these trailers to practice with, and even something as short as 70 minutes gives me wiggle-room to chop and slot as I choose.
But the movie itself? That disk/mask subplot is too vital to do away with now, and suddenly instead of squeezing a movie’s worth of Vahki footage into a trailer, I’d be aiming to bloat their role in reverse with nonexistent footage. Sadly it’s just not feasible. At best I could edit a more intense score in there, but I respect ole Nathan Furst too much to go _that_ far.
@@APinchofBazel Maybe SOMEONE could remake Legends of Metru Nui in Stop-motion.
@@Raidmasterprod Or CGI, from scratch, including the stuff from the comics. And novels. It’s a lot of work, sadly. :( Maybe if BIONICLE G1 could get a high budget TV series one day, retelling the whole story. Just in that one medium, the TV series. With long episodes of 40 minute to 1 hour. The problem with G1 really wasn’t the complexity or convolution. It was how it was spread out across so many mediums, most of which weren’t even available to most countries except the US and a few others. Denmark, home country of damn LEGO, didn’t even get the books or most of the comics, and we didn’t have translations of the serials in Danish either! :( We only had one guide book and one of the Chronicles books, and it happened to be a Chronicles book right in the middle of the series. The Mask of Light novelisation, it was, to try and capitalise on the movie when it came out. Really annoying. It was both a cool way to experience a story, since it was almost a brand new thing to do, to have so much story in different kinds of mediums, but most franchises at the time still had one main storyline being exclusive to just one medium, and had side stories or other major stories, though not the MAIN one, going in other mediums. LEGO instead decided to set it up so that you are reading a novel, then suddenly the novel says to jump to a serial at the end of a specific chapter of the novel, then go back to the novel, and then jump to a novel or maybe Ebene a comic and then back to the novel’s sequel book. Etc. etc and etc. that’s not an optimal way of experiencing a full story. I do love how some of the serials felt like side stories though. But yeah, you can kind of see how this way of telling the main storyline was kind of a mess. If we just had one TV series retelling ALL of that, perhaps going by the chronology of The Biological Chronicle (the collected version of all written materials that a fan put together), then maybe we could have something truly great. And even flesh out stuff somewhat, too, and show off-screen deaths on-screen. And perhaps BIONICLE could finally have the more realistic-looking (not talking Bayformers realism but like how the surfaces of characters and locations could look more real and physical) designs, striking a fine balance between set accuracy and organic tissue and have characters have heartlights and everything else that’s canon. And finally BIONICLE’s lore and story might be taken super serious by other people than just us old fans. Furthermore, at the very end of the series we could have sequels too, either far future ones where you don’t HAVE to involve too much old lore and have story be bogged down by it if you so please, or more near future stuff. Or even prequels. I’d love to go back to Bara Magna some more, and also see Bota Magna before then restoration of Spherus Magna. And naturally everyone wants to spend more time in the Matoran Universe. Especially Metru Nui.
Also, imagine a big RPG or even MMORPG video game where you can play as a lot of different species. With a robust elemental power system that allows for a lot of versatility and even manipulation of the surrounding environment…
@@Luka1180 That could redeem Lego's interest of bringing Bionicle back, alongside Hero Factory. (While breaking a promise from Greg Farshtey that these two aren't in the same time of the universe.)
This trailer is great and a perfect alternative, but I've got to say that the Second Movie's rhythm and pacing were so apt and perfect for its story, characters and dynamics.

Awesome trailer. But does anyone know the music he used
In the description, but it’s a couple tracks.
Serpent and Kraken by Elephant Music, plus a bunch of smaller samples from other sources.
This spoils too much.
Agreed, it's a truly epic trailer but not much besides Turaga Lhikan is left unrevealed.
