Government needs to tackle this issue, as soon as possible, you can see that life in not healthy for the poor sierra leonian, the common people has being patiently ,waiting and very cooperative ,even the youth are trying extremely well for the progressive image of the country, so please Government try very hard to eradicate the inflection of prices so the country can progress, we know our Government has done well but this issue must be addressed, bravo to our youth,

COVID has affected the supply chains in every sector all across the world. The unfortunate result of that is inflation and price increases. These are the complexities and realities of a world economy that is interconnected. A major issue anywhere affects everywhere in some form. Whether it is the Suez Canal incident a few months ago or a lock down in China for an outbreak- these affect the rest of the world but even more so countries like ours who are basically just consumers. We sell raw materials like iron ore to China and have to wait for them to add value to it and resell it to us for ten times the price in the form of iron rod and the likes. We always find simplistic ways of explaining away complex issues. But then again when you are facing stiff economic issues on a personal level, you just want solutions. In the United States for example, there is a shortage in timber, which means it cost more and less homes are being build which has in turn translated to sky rocketed home prices. The market place dictates these issues and will adjust itself eventually. there is very little “papa government “ can do. The comment about reducing taxes on businesses is a valid one and can make a difference

I hope the president and his ministers will strategise around the general inflation of Sierra Leone.

Inflation all over the world is the main problems, government needs to do critical analysis to go to the root of solving the problems.

Indeed critical analysis could be the way forward. Go to the root of what is not working and try and make it work

Stop using balusters in decent houses. It makes the city looking old. The price of cement is not good therefore the rent is going up and you don't need to blame the landlords at all. This is the worst time in Sierra Leone. It's pathetic
