Fitness Transcendence so the coach is not the actual leader of a team? That’s his only job. Why did Ty Lou not call the time out? Why didn’t Ty Lou rally HIS players after seeing all the disappointment? Blame the player who played his heart out (nearly a 50 point triple double) then got cheated by the refs and his own coach for being emotional after one of the biggest moments of his career. You’re just a biased lebron hater lol what a shame
Fitness Transcendence rally his own troops? These are fucking grown men getting paid millions of dollars to do their job. Lebron been dropping 40 per game. There is your leadership. Teammates are trash
I truly believe Lebron was willing to forgive JR for his mistake as you see him calming himself down to get ready for OT but what signaled Lebron being completely done with that game was Ty Lue not using his final time out. It was done after that.
W0W. this is brutal and unreal. JR is looking, pointing, talking - how the hell did miss this? also - Damn Jeff Green almost had that rebound. he definitely wouldn't have choked.
The reason Cavaliers lost is because Lebron attitude towards his team during a stressful situation. This shouldn’t haunt J.R., no it should haunt Lebron. They still had overtime to win this game: hello! They game wasn’t over. Lebron killed the spirit of his team. Imagine, Lebron coming into the huddle with his arm around his teammates at that time and saying these things happen let’s go back and win this battle now. I wish the best for Lebron. I love his work, but now we got a glimpse from Kyrie and Isaiah’s perspective. Lebron is only 33. He is still a young man. I don’t expect him to be perfect. I probably would’ve reacted the same way and then later regretted it.
Exactly. Everyone is acting like JR cost them a game. What if he shot and missed, then GSW rebounded and somehow managed to score? He would get blamed anyway. The only thing that matters is the score was even with five more minutes to play and Cavs couldn't close it.
dreamtimej stop it, imagine being Lebron and playing 48 minutes in a game against the best team ever and make an historical game and you could have won but it was taken away from you by your dumbass teammate!! Lebron is not to blame at all cause they all should know what the fuck their doing....their all professionals
I'm not much of a LeBron fan but I felt so bad for him in that moment, to have the game he had and for it to end the way it did he don't deserve that, the guy is a amazing player and me personally I don't want to see the guy lose 6 finals cause he's most definitely a mount Rushmore player and he don't deserve that and this is coming from a HUGE Jordan fan.
Yes terrible play by JR Smith but hypothetically lets say Smith was aware of the situation let’s say he knew the game was tied let’s say he knew how much time was left and he made the right play it’s still not guaranteed they would have won the game. Let’s say they did call a time out with 3-4 seconds left, it’s still very possible that they go to overtime.
This ish is so overblown. If JR doesn’t push off and get the rebound, KD secures it and Golden State actually will have a shot to win the game in regulation.
I remember the 2010 FInals when Jason Terry messed up and left a Miami player wide open for a three and they lost the lead. Mavs called timedout and Dirk approached Terry and asked him "What the hell are you thinking? Dont worry, I got your back". The next Mavs play, Dirk shot an incredible shot and put the Mavs back ahead.
except this was a catastrophic blunder at the end of the 4th in a chance to steal a game against the KD warriors in which bron was playing his mind out, this was their only chance to build momentum and they blew it... but yea similiar scenarios
I fully understand and feel bad for Lebron here. And he has every right to be upset. But at that point, he gave up already, otherwise, he really should motivate the team for OT.
I'll tell you what, judging from this video. Lebron made the mentality of the cavs worse in this sequence. Bringing everybody down to his level. No communication, no confidence, no respect.
Ty Lue is not their leader. He is their teacher. LeBron is the leader. He is Cleveland sports. They will name their Airport after him. Hell there might even be a couple white kids named LeBron in Cleveland. He's been to the finals 8 times in a row. It's up to him to rally his teammates. They follow his lead. He sat dejected and teary eyed. Didn't even have his hand in for a full second before the start of OT. He threw in the towel.
Lebron is a horrible leader. You have to pick your guys up and encourage them in this situation. You still have overtime left to play. Instead he threw a tantrum like a petulant child. No wonder kyrie left.
Ace, I very much agree with your statement. As a leader, you have to stay on top of your shit. If you can't even attempt to pick up your team and communicate, how does the term GOAT even come up in a conversation about LeBron James? He SUCKS. Great abilities. Great potential. But he SUCKS as a sportsman. It's what drove Kyrie away and in fact, his previous team in Miami, didn't have much good to say about him either. LeBron is a business man. He's smart, he's cunning but a sportsman, he's not. IMHO anyways.
Emmanuel James if he is the “leader” of this team he really should’ve been more encouraging instead of acting as though it was over.they could’ve come back, they were tied..
mala desai THAT WAS THERE ONLY CHANCE... because knowing you had a TO left and JR was doin dumb shit fucked up the cavs momentum at the end of the game it's probably over in 4-5 games now
ESPN used to do a show called "The Top 5 Reasons Why You Can't Blame..." (one of my favorite shows. Please consider bringing that back!). As much as I can't stand Cleveland or JR Smith, he'd be a perfect candidate here. For your consideration, the Top 5 Reasons Why You Can't Blame JR Smith for blowing Game 1 of the 2018 NBA Finals: (5) The refs: The referees clearly missed a lane violation by Draymond. He jumped early on George Hill's second free throw attempt. Which takes me to the next reason... (4) George Hill: If Hill doesn't miss the second free throw, we have a different ball game. (3) LeBron James: His valiant and inspirational performance up to that point was inhuman. But after JR's bumble, LeBron's exasperation sucked the life out of his teammates. As for the timeout Stephen A alluded to, he DID in fact motion for a timeout. But if you look at it in super slow motion, he called for it at around the 0.8 second mark. Four full seconds went by before he called for a timeout, which should have been called IMMEDIATELY. Which brings me to the next reason... (2) Ty Lue: Talk about a waste of space. Lue spends more time on the bench with that goofy confused look on his face than he does coaching. If Pop, Doc, Brad, or Kerr were in that situation, they'd be racing up and down the court screaming for a timeout the instant Smith had control of the ball. Meanwhile, Lue was probably sitting around with his mouth wide opened while JR was running out the clock. (1) Golden State: Let's face it facts. The Warriors were a beast of a team during that extra session. Not even the 95 Bulls could've ran with them over that 5 minute period. They were unstoppable.
Had JR even remotely understood what's going on, at 0:42, using his common sense, he would've hit LeBron, who's WIDE OPEN! And that dude had 49 at this point of the game, LeBron really might've won just won this game. And JR would've been the hero, even more so than LeBron lol. But dude's gotta go and act like a dumb dumb. Oh well.
I don't know the ages of Lebron and JR, but the look Lebron gave JR after the clock ran out if definitely like when the little brother messes up and the big brother is there to say wtf. Even the stay away from me look on the bench, I saw it enough with my brothers.
I come back to this every now n then when i feel like i need a good cry

I'd love to see a side-by-side with this video and the Warriors bench during the same time lmao
It’s understandable that bron is pissed but that was not good leadership I can understand why kyrie left
The man had around 80% hand in all points but yeah you right
wtf really?
King Tomo720 come on dude. What more do you want from Lebron
Sean Cameron nah bruv u sound like the idiot I never said he bad bad just this isn’t good leadership yh he has emotions but he has to overcome that as he is the leader of the team
King Tomo720 so he cant be mad that JR made a stupid play makes no sense
Damn how can you not feel for Lebron. He’s close to tears on the bench. He’s so mad.
kbk011 so? Why should i feel for a 5 time loser who can't even rally his own troops
Selfish
lol, so you are one of these 'bronsexuals' ive heard about. interesting
Im sure this is gonna ruin their relationship forever and this will be remembered. Going in the records book
Five days later and we are still talking about JR Smith. The JR Smith Game that will live in infamy.
I truly believe Lebron was willing to forgive JR for his mistake as you see him calming himself down to get ready for OT but what signaled Lebron being completely done with that game was Ty Lue not using his final time out. It was done after that.
LeBron broke his hand after game 1
Love to see Jeff Green tried to reassuring James.
I've become a JR fan just cuz how he handles the weight of the world on his shoulders.... Even here.. much respect!!
That's the lonliest feeling in the world. Feels like the weight of the world is on your shoulders 😔
Jeff Green looks disgusted at lebron
Right when LeBron heard they did have a timeout, the music changed😂
Don’t let this GOAT footage distract you from the fact that Steve Kerr named his son NickKerr 😆😆😆
W0W. this is brutal and unreal.
Lebron is not to blame at all cause they all should know what the fuck their doing....their all professionals
they wont win in ot no matter what they do stupid its 1v5
@@realest21310 it gives them a chance to draw up a play for Bron. He's proved time and time again that he's clutch when it matters the most
This ish is so overblown.
Camera man you had one job.......and you did the hell out of it. *BRAVO* 😏
I fully understand and feel bad for Lebron here. And he has every right to be upset. But at that point, he gave up already, otherwise, he really should motivate the team for OT.
Great video
They probably still would’ve lost the series but with this Game 1 win you never know
Insane video 👍👍👍
Damn we 2 games ahead of this , yeah jr went out like a dumb ass... it’s over now
2:27 that background music is so matched.
Next season a LeBron-less Cavs will not be making the playoffs.
I'll tell you what, judging from this video. Lebron made the mentality of the cavs worse in this sequence. Bringing everybody down to his level. No communication, no confidence, no respect.
Jose Lopez you’re exactly right
When LeBron left them in 2010, I don't recall The Cavs making the playoffs
This team wins 11 games without him. He is that good.
Fax
That moment when the whole song switched up right when he reacted
That moment when Lebron realized he's leaving Cleveland for good....
*THE SONG SWITCHED SOON AS HE GOT MAD* 😂😂 2:26
Leaders are defined during crisis...there’s lebron’s leadership right there
cmon man. Im not his biggest fan ever but that was a blunder of epic proportions. Plus Ty Lue is their Leader, Not Lebron.
- Wentzylvania - I like Lebro but, my point exactly he let everybody down
what?! HOW?
Ty Lue is not their leader. He is their teacher. LeBron is the leader. He is Cleveland sports. They will name their Airport after him. Hell there might even be a couple white kids named LeBron in Cleveland. He's been to the finals 8 times in a row. It's up to him to rally his teammates. They follow his lead. He sat dejected and teary eyed. Didn't even have his hand in for a full second before the start of OT. He threw in the towel.
# Thunderup are you stupid how does he affect jr Smith's knowledge of the score. Must be a warrior fan bandwagon ass
Everybody blame JR but Hill should’ve never missed a free throw
Lebron is a horrible leader. You have to pick your guys up and encourage them in this situation. You still have overtime left to play. Instead he threw a tantrum like a petulant child. No wonder kyrie left.
ace ventura
I agree but is it possible that he’s pissed at the referees because he calls for the timeout with 2 seconds left and they don’t give it?
Ash no because he called timeout when the ball had left Smith's hands on its way to Hill
Coaching Cavs is the easiest job ever with LeBron on your team, staff failed thats why he is upset
IMHO anyways.
because this mistake is expected to only happen on rookies.
0:42 Bron is WIDE open. He was cooking from 3 that game and was incredibly clutch during that playoff run.
mannnnnnn Lebron doesn't deserve this AT ALL
GIT OFF HIS NUTS!!!
Yeah he does, he insisted that they bring JR and pay him a high salary.
All those 51 points for nothing jr shit
For your consideration, the Top 5 Reasons Why You Can't Blame JR Smith for blowing Game 1 of the 2018 NBA Finals:
(5) The refs: The referees clearly missed a lane violation by Draymond.
Lebron is the GOAT for bringing that sorry squad into the Finals in the first place.. let’s keep it a buck
The way the music changed when asked do we have time outs 😈☠️💀👻👽
Damm JR you really blew it this time smh
That 1:13 to 1:19 reaction from tristan thompson was nice 😁😂
Kendrick Perkins should trip JR on his way back to the bench
This was the most exciting thing about the 2018 NBA FINALS
The moment Bron officially became a Laker
Should have went to gsw to balance things out and make the playoffs more interesting
I feel so sorry for him! It's ok. Everyone makes mistakes.
Lets not forget Jordan Cussed out Toni Kucoc and almost punched steve kerr in the face...if you want to call that better leadership...
David Williams naw bro he actually hit Kerr in practice & dropped his ass
not almost
David Williams that’s great leadership
lol it happened during practice and not in game but look what they've become..WINNERS.
Not almost he did , my sweet LeBron would never do anything like that .
2:25 When someone ask for some of your food but you haven't ate shit all day
Greater team leadership than jordan they said 😂😂
Kevin Stankovic hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaahahhahahahahaha
Kevin Stankovic FAX 😂
lebrons a bitch. spoiled brat ass.
Jordan would've legit punched JR in the mouth for doing that. Your argument isnt a strong one Kevin
Klay Anthony Clarke Go watch another Mike Korzemba video buddy.
2:27 cue dramatic music once he gets frustrated.
2:24 He realizes they had timeouts.
And ppl mad he left Cleveland lol
"Leader"
Had JR even remotely understood what's going on, at 0:42, using his common sense, he would've hit LeBron, who's WIDE OPEN! And that dude had 49 at this point of the game, LeBron really might've won just won this game. And JR would've been the hero, even more so than LeBron lol. But dude's gotta go and act like a dumb dumb. Oh well.
Jasper Jamm he had a chance with curry on him and passed it
Jasper Jamm what happened happened. After the fact, the leader of the team did nothing but sit there like a baby, and they got creamed in OT
All I gotta say is that arena music switch is on point at 2:27. #mood
Here you can see a wild LeBron James in his natural habitat thinking about which team to join next season
I don't know the ages of Lebron and JR, but the look Lebron gave JR after the clock ran out if definitely like when the little brother messes up and the big brother is there to say wtf. Even the stay away from me look on the bench, I saw it enough with my brothers.
He quit
That's the kind of thing you just don't come back from. SMDH
When your joystick gets jammed playing nba2k
Damn JR
Why is it every time LeBron is on camera he is crying?
0:48 lmfao guy in the background pointing at jr Smith like “HAHAHA LOOK AT THIS DUMBASS” 😂😂😂😂
I would love to get Kyle Korver on the GSW he's a good teammate and deserve a ring.... He's the only positive energy in the huddle
He got one with bron
I'M GLAD THIS WAS GAME 1 INSTEAD OF GAME 7 OF THE NBA FINALS
