well one of Dave filoni ideals for inquisitors during star wars rebels interview is multiple inquisitors holding the same rank. so it could be they are canonize that ideal there are other inquisitors of opposite gender who also holds the same rank as well.
Not really the topic discussed here, but since it was brought up with the grand inquisitor; i love how the Sith and other dark side users legitimately have necromancy and actual undead stuff but its not really talked about. It makes sense, because necromancy is traditionally one of if not the most evil magic in any fantasy setting and is usually seen as a corruption of the natural order. Usually an undead person or a ghost in stories is tormented by existing in that state, and the dark side undead seem to be like that (or at least the grand inquisitor was), meanwhile the regular light side force ghosts are more of a spiritual enlightenment "become one with everything" deal. But back on the dark side you have things like a tormented but still physical phantom (Grand Inquisitor's ghost), a more incorporeal nonphysical spirit (Darth Bane's ghost though it may just be an illusion/vision) haunted objects (Momin's Helmet), spirits possessing people (Momin's Helmet, nightsister magick shown in rebels, and Palpatine essentially possessing a clone body but thats more complicated), an army of undead minions (nightsister magick shown in clone wars), and hell you could argue that the Sith's many examples of unnaturally extending their life and surviving would be fatal wounds is a kind of necromancy as well and essentially forcing an already dead body to keep on "living"( Maul, possibly the grand inquisitor, maybe to a degree Darth Vader as well and Palpatine's flawed clone body. Though advanced technology also helped). Looking at all that, it makes Palpatines "Darth Plagueis the Wise" story sound all the more sinister if this is the sort of "life" he could create and some of his ways to "prevent" death. Unnatural indeed. Its Ironic that its the light side that has essentially this path of enlightenment that leads to immortality, when that immortality is what a lot of Sith dream of but can never replicate and any attempt seems to just lead to pain and torment.
The Inquisitor featured in 'The Ghosts of Dathomir' plagued me the most because she was the only one with a vague history. I had everyone documented but her. Thank you for including this character. @@andrewrash1931 Are you referring to the Comic? Because there is no Vader novel from 2017. If so, only the fifth, sixth, eighth and tenth brother appeared there.
Here's an idea for an animated series or Tales of the Jedi arc. Four untattooed Pau'an Jedi Temple guards all with vastly different personalities (two voiced by Jason Isaacs and two by Rupert Friend) deal with the Order 66 calamity from the ground, and the mystery is who goes bad and becomes the Grand Inquisitor.
I think the Sixth Brother was named Bil Valin. Ferran Barr identifies him in the Vader comic along with the Ninth Sister and Tenth Brother. It's likely that Maul killed an Inquisitor and took their lightsaber to use as the design of his Rebels saber is very similar to the Inquisitors so it's likely there are still other members that we have yet to meet. Also I'm not totally convinced the Ninth Sister was tortured into becoming an Inquisitor given the fact that she was there from the very beginning and likely fell before Order 66. Her rant to Cal could be referring to Vader's brutal training of the Inquisitors which bordered on torture, cutting off limbs to teach lessons of loss. Also I'm not appreciating the Ezra Bridger erasure in this video, Alex. He was one of the Inquisitors' main targets in Rebels too but not a mention of him in the sections about the Grand inquisitor, Fifth Brother, Seventh Sister or Eighth Brother. I know we haven't seen him in a few years but that doesn't mean he doesn't exist. (I'm kidding obviously. I’d like to think that Starkiller from Force Unleashed could have a really interesting story as an inquisitor if bought back into canon, it’s possible that he was the original Grand inquisitor but was replaced by the current grand inquisitor we see in rebels after he left the empire. In legends Starkiller was responsible for creating the rebel alliance after he left, so in canon he could have created the Path which we see in Obi-Wan-Kanobi
Dave Filone had actually planned to bring Starkiller back into the canon as an Inquisitor, in Rebels season 3; but he ultimately decided against it, he said he was too powerful. So I guess he didn't want to nerf him.

My biggest question about the Inquisitors is how their number system works. If it’s by their timing of being brought in to the Inquisitoius it doesn’t work because Trilla was brought in after clones were decommissioned and the empire used Stormtroopers while characters like Fifth Brother and Seventh Sister were already enlisted. Is it by power? By success rate? If anyone has an answer that would be great.
The two main theories online are: 1. The numbers mean nothing. An illusion of hierarchy meant to stir up competition within their ranks. 2. When one Inquisitor dies, the next one will take their place, explaining why newer additions have a "higher" numerical ranking.

It would also be interesting to know what species the Fourth Sister, 5th Brother, and 6th Brother are.
An inquisitor movie would be pretty good but I think they should make shows and movies set during the old republic especially during the mandolorian wars
Not related to the topic of Inquisitors. But I have some dark Star Wars food for thought: In the elevator scene at the beginning of SW Episode 2, when Ani and Obi are talking, Obi mentions that he has a feeling that Ani might be the death of him (Ani being the cause of death of Obi). And Ani responds by stating how much of a father Obi is to himself (Ani). So I realized that Obi was right, and twice, from a certain point of view. The first time was in SWE3, when witnessing the Temple security footage on Coruscant and later confirmation in person on Mustafar after the duel with Ani. This death is metaphysical, as practically everyone and everything that Obi has ever loved, cared for, and was somewhat connected to, either betrayed him or in some way died. And again later, on the Death Star 1 in SWE4, this death being physical.
I wonder if we’ll ever see the outcome of Project Harvester. I doubt it was entirely unsuccessful, so there must be at least a few Dark Side users running around who grew up in Project Harvester.
Great presentation. I think there are more Inquisitors to be shown. I do hope that somehow we learn them all. Perhaps there is a brother and a sister for each number. There was the Third brother, mentioned in a reference book and there's also Reva. Also, it's clear Maul killed and Inquisitor, because his lightsaber is similar to one of the Inquisitors. Maybe he killed the First Brother/Sister, as it was never specified that the Grand Inquisitor is the First Brother. Btw, you missed the inquisitor who was sent on the Anoat sector who hunted down 4 Jedi, mentioned in the Uprising game. Unless he's the Fifth Brother or simply not specified.
Your respectfully wrong on one thing friend.. that being grand inquisitors spirit being captured by vader. If that was the case vader wouldn’t of allowed grand inquisitor to stop the fifth brother and 9th sister whichever. My opinion
If you’re going to mention the non-canon Inquisitors, then you should’ve mentioned the Third Brother who was mentioned in the source book: Darth Maul and Other Dark Side Followers.

@@timtetumtetodd after doing my own research, and seeing the opinions of other people in the comments of this video. The consensus seems to be the game isn’t really canon. It’s an RPG. Therefore while some backstory is described, it’s more or less at the level of a reference book. Any source that has ambiguity cannot be considered canon. Fanfiction is written following the same rules and boundaries of the sandbox it’s written in. You need to have backgrounds and backstory built on the official story in order to make the game more legitimate. Events of the game cannot be considered canon until they trickle into other more official media. Also, if only parts of the whole trickle in to other media, the whole is still not canon.
What I don’t understand is that Maul killed an Inquisitor to make a lightsaber, which was seen at the earliest point of 11 BBY. But every Inquisitor is already dead at that point in the timeline, or had to have survived. Tenth Brother died in the comics, The Sixth Brother died to Ahsoka, Trilla died to Vader, and Grand Inquisitor, Eighth Brother, Seventh Sister, Fifth Brother, Reva, and Fourth Sister all live past that point. The only Inquisitor that Maul could have gotten the saber from was Ninth Sister
I imagine Inquisitor Lightsabers are mass-produced rather than personally constructed, so Maul could have stolen one. It's also possible he just killed one of the unnamed Inquisitors, such as the Second Brother (if they even existed). It's also notable that Inquisitors are rarely sent on their own, and I highly doubt the Eighth Brother would have been alone in his hunt for Maul. Perhaps they had previously encountered Maul once before and Maul killed his partner.
his lightsaber looks pretty similar to the grand inquisitor one, and considering inquisitors lightsaber are slightly custom for each one my take is that the grand inquisitor actually fought Maul but obviously fail, just escaping with his live and nothing more
There are still some legends Inquisitors out there, like Antinnis Tremayne (who shocking served Vader and later the Imperial remnants from just after the clone wars all the way into the age of the New Republic)
I wish they had stuck with the old Fourth Sister design. The one with the cool helmet and set of armor, as well as a Lightsaber staff as a weapon, instead of the signature cylindrical Inquisitor Lightsaber.
There were actually The Third and Fourth Brother, one is mentioned in a Sourcebook and the other is one of the main characters in "Before the Dark Times". I would like to know who the Inquisitor in Visions was and the two, that Darth Vader killed actually were.

I wonder if we will see more inquisitors in the future. Cause a Vader or reva series may give us more. And also we can learn their methods and more.
An inquisitor movie would be pretty good but I think they should make shows and movies set during the old republic especially during the mandolorian wars
@@icrywhenisleep2130 i don't think disney could do the old Republic justice tbh i mean they fumbled the main trilogy
You could update the video since in jedi survivor the ninth sister is killed by cal in coruscant and her name was revealed aswell
My favorites are just the second and the seventh sister from the Inquisitors
I like how ALL Inquisitors are counted for the sake of the Galaxy, thanks Alex.
Update. Ninth sister is dead AF
Very dead
The Red-Skinned Inquisitor was known as The Thirteenth Sister
Unless he's the Fifth Brother or simply not specified.
explains so much thank you
This is good to know, inquisitors are very interesting
My Favorite Imperial Inquisitor is Jerrec 😎
Your respectfully wrong on one thing friend.. that being grand inquisitors spirit being captured by vader. If that was the case vader wouldn’t of allowed grand inquisitor to stop the fifth brother and 9th sister whichever. My opinion
I'm not sure if Tales of the Jedi was out when this video came out, but Ahsoka killed an inquisitor in one of the episodes
Been waiting for this video :)
I was hoping to see the Dark Empire ones, although they are part of Legends now
If you’re going to mention the non-canon Inquisitors, then you should’ve mentioned the Third Brother who was mentioned in the source book: Darth Maul and Other Dark Side Followers.
The third sister and eighth brother are underated in my opinion
the 9th sister is now dead, killed in the new jedi survivor game
That one from Star Wars visions was cool
Ah yes, the Inquisitors (tv shows/games only)
The my father will hear about this one
The hot one
The wannabe father will hear about this one
The one that just does her job
The one with dat funky hat
The comics one
The other hot one
The jumpy boi
The one I didn't even know was a woman
The green indian one with dat goofy mustache
The birdy boi
Grand Inquisitor: Lord Vader, do i get her business cards?
Lord Vader: NO!!
Lord Vader: WHAT IS WITH ALL OF YOU AND BUSINESS CARDS?, EVEN I DON'T HAVE BUSINESS CARDS
just bin watching the star wars schmowdawns and wow you know your stuff
Update on the Ninth Sister: After surviving the duel with Cal, she was later beheaded, by Cal, on Coruscant
It’s ren the former leader of the knight of ren was a member of the inquisitor group after they disbanded the group. I always feel like ren was a member of inquisitor after the return of the Jedi.
Could be it seems he came out of nowhere. So him being a former Inquisitor is not a bad guess
the last two might be the eleventh Sister and Twelth Brother
The eighth brother is probably alive and just trapped in malicore
By another Jedi surviver I see what you did there
There’s also another inquisitor named malorum in some of the novels where he fights former Jedi ferus olin and learns of Vader’s identity and past however malorum doesn’t have the title of “brother”
it's still so jarring seeing the fifth brother in kenobi next to the fifth brother everywhere else
4th Sis is most likely Tholothian as Adi Gallia is.
9th sister can now be updated :)
Massana tide was killed a couple of days ago by an older cal kestis
3rd sister: A promotion?
3rd sister: Do I get business cards thats says : Grand Inquisitor?
Darth Vader: No it's not part of the budget, even I don't have business cards
4th sister is Lyn Rakish
Tales of the Jedi has another unidentified "inquisitor" who was defeated by ahsoka
Well we now know what happened to the Ninth Sister. Cal is taking no prisoners
1:07 Rakesh Thanos is The Grand Inquisitor’s real name
It’s weird how the longest serving inquisitors, with the exception of the Grand Inquisitor, have the highest numbers. How did that work?
I love that you included Jerserra's master
Because everyone would have moaned if he didn’t. Even though that game is far from canonical.
@@BlindJedi The game is literally canon, but almost no one knows about it. That's why almost everyone forgets Jerserra's master.
@@timtetumtetodd i’ve researched it enough. It’s not. The events in the game are ambiguous. Enlighten me if I’m wrong here.
@@BlindJedi Well yes, the events are not really canon, but there are backstories for Jerserra, that one Toydarian and the Nightsister clan and those are canon.
And now we have Jedi Survivor to solve the mystery of what happened to Masana Tide
Plus that new inquisitor who appeared in tales of the Jedi episode Resolve
After playing jedi survivor, RIP Masana Tide.
@
Solo takes place a year before Kenobi. It can’t be the Fourth Sister because she’s still alive
Maybe just an inquisitor we haven’t seen yet
his lightsaber looks pretty similar to the grand inquisitor one, and considering inquisitors lightsaber are slightly custom for each one my take is that the grand inquisitor actually fought Maul but obviously fail, just escaping with his live and nothing more
You are gonna have to update this video with the Ashoka show(sköll and hati) and the new Jedi survivor game
There are still some legends Inquisitors out there, like Antinnis Tremayne (who shocking served Vader and later the Imperial remnants from just after the clone wars all the way into the age of the New Republic)
I wish they had stuck with the old Fourth Sister design. The one with the cool helmet and set of armor, as well as a Lightsaber staff as a weapon, instead of the signature cylindrical Inquisitor Lightsaber.
it wasn't a lightsaber staff, just a electro-staff, that's why she was spotted as a impersonator
4:58 Thora Rathal is The Seventh Sister’s real name
2:53 In Tales of The Jedi seasons 2-3
There were actually The Third and Fourth Brother, one is mentioned in a Sourcebook and the other is one of the main characters in "Before the Dark Times".
I would like to know who the Inquisitor in Visions was and the two, that Darth Vader killed actually were.
as good as that first episode was, visions is not canon
What is "Before the Dark Times?
Update: ninth sister....... dead
