We intelligently limit selection when looking for a quick c-plane and won't let you pick anything other than a flat surface. Once selected, the functionality works similarly to what is shown in the video. To create a plane on a non-planar surface, we recommend clicking and dragging up the gnomen from the lower left corner of the graphics screen to your desired surface. Clicking and placing the gnomen will give you a plane at the respective surface normal.
