For those complaining why this is choppy and not animated : The dance is a memory and human memory tend to remember things in snapshots. Props to the art team they truly cooked. Edit : Someone also point out that its animated in 4 fps in relation to Ekko's 4 second timeloop limit. ABSOLUTE CINEMA.

I watched the first season throughout a pretty long period of time when it came out, loved it and was kinda obsessed with it but the wait was so long i kinda forgot about it. Yesterday I saw they released the second season, opened it up and last thing I knew I was almost crying at that shot of ekko by himself at the end. One sitting is ROUGH.

2:12 is the one shot that stuck to me the most, the tearful eyes, the straight face uselessly fighting to hide the sadness within, the avoidance of eye contact. It's the most fragile and childlike we have ever seen from ekko after the prologue, he's like someone who didn't had time to grow out of being a child before turning into an adult, it's even heavier when you know what he have to do, his childhood dream against his responsibilities as an adult
Couldn’t agree more. This scene was so meticulously crafted and executed with extreme delicacy. This is Ekko at his most vulnerable, saying everything he wanted to tell Powder since he was a kid, until tragedy struck. This moment gave him another chance to confess those feelings and be fully embraced by his lover; not be rejected like he did (by Jinx) in his original timeline. This is the closure my boy needed to go back to his shitty timeline, try to save Jinx again, and save everyone else so they too can have hope for a better future. This is my Boy Saviour!!🙌🏿
I believe Powder knows, that Ekko's a time traveler stuck on her timeline. She knew it right from the beginning. Look at her worried face the whole episode. She also discovered it in his book while peeking at his notes. And wow! In her voice is so much suspicion when she asked him: "Where did you learn those moves!" Reminds me of the Fiona in Shrek 2 (Since do you dance?). And when she says HE got lines (not: YOU got lines), like she knows her Ekko is not present. And the most beautiful thing: Ekko knows she knows and says a subtle but honest goodbye. This scene is beautiful!!!! Thanks to Amanda Overton who propably wrote this scene.
For me this episode became the BEST for the whole series... Music, composition, art, story - EVERYTHING was so FINE and PERFECT. Wish Hemier and Ekko would have stayed in that universe and lived a happy live... BUT Ekko found enough strength to gave up his dream and became a GOAT and HERO. After the 2 season Ekko and Jinx became my favourite and the best characters who had a unbelievable and magnificent growth.

I have a Jinx in this universe, but we don't talk anymore, for long time. And I used to wrote her a poem on her birthdays, and she doesn't know. This is my 2022 version: "Perhaps, in some parallel universe, where we still know each other, where our lives remain entwined, I would gladly write you a poem every year on your birthday, each word a gift, painting the tenderness of spring, the passion of summer, and the quiet glow of timeless memories. I thought that I have already moved on, until I watched ep7... I used to believe in another universe where I'm her Ekko. Now I feel devastated.
Ekko is a hero, no doubt about that. That being said, I wish we could talk about his motives a little bit more. This scene highlights Ekko's character wonderfully. Yes, he could have stayed in this paradise, he could have chosen happiness over the war, suffering and loneliness. This life, in this universe, does not belong to him. Not only would he feel like a thief, a cheat, stealing undoubtedly beautiful life from another Ekko. He knew that this version of Powder, no matter how sweet, wasn’t the kind of love he was looking for. Ekko has always been an idealist, a romantic. This version of Powder wouldn’t have sated his hunger for love, a true love he felt for „the real Powder.” My interpretation of his decision is that he decided to come back not only because he felt an obligation to save everybody, he did not want to live a life of illusion.
A perfect scene recapping all the years most of us miss/will miss/never had a chance to partake in. The whole scene was so strong i had to pause and go out for a while. Great storytelling
The chemistry was CHEMISTRYING. The way she walks in, the way he looks at her. 🔥🔥 The way I was SO giddy, I was fully beside myself. I wasn't sure if these two had a thing or if I was seeing more than what was, but this scene sealed it so hard. It was sprinkled in that they were already a couple but it was easy to miss if not paying attention. I would KILL to see Ekko and Jinx fall in love in the main timeline. It didn't take long for Ekko to fall for Powder here, which leads me to believe he may have always had a thing for her. And I thought I was delusional for seeing chemistry between them in their fight in season 1 lol. Alas, we may or may never see their love story. I sure hope we do. He's her boy savior. 🥺

I watched the first season throughout a pretty long period of time when it came out, loved it and was kinda obsessed with it but the wait was so long i kinda forgot about it. Yesterday I saw they released the second season, opened it up and last thing I knew I was almost crying at that shot of ekko by himself at the end. One sitting is ROUGH.
Netflix didnt do shit, they just stream it. Riot Games with Fortiche created Arcane, came up with the story and decided how it will be distributed.

2:12 is the one shot that stuck to me the most, the tearful eyes, the straight face uselessly fighting to hide the sadness within, the avoidance of eye contact. It's the most fragile and childlike we have ever seen from ekko after the prologue, he's like someone who didn't had time to grow out of being a child before turning into an adult, it's even heavier when you know what he have to do, his childhood dream against his responsibilities as an adult
And the way he talks too, his tone in this moment, it’s so insecure and fearful

Couldn’t agree more. This scene was so meticulously crafted and executed with extreme delicacy. This is Ekko at his most vulnerable, saying everything he wanted to tell Powder since he was a kid, until tragedy struck. This moment gave him another chance to confess those feelings and be fully embraced by his lover; not be rejected like he did (by Jinx) in his original timeline.
This is the closure my boy needed to go back to his shitty timeline, try to save Jinx again, and save everyone else so they too can have hope for a better future. This is my Boy Saviour!!🙌🏿
I believe Powder knows, that Ekko's a time traveler stuck on her timeline. She knew it right from the beginning. Look at her worried face the whole episode. She also discovered it in his book while peeking at his notes.
And wow! In her voice is so much suspicion when she asked him: "Where did you learn those moves!" Reminds me of the Fiona in Shrek 2 (Since do you dance?).
And when she says HE got lines (not: YOU got lines), like she knows her Ekko is not present.
And the most beautiful thing: Ekko knows she knows and says a subtle but honest goodbye.

For me this episode became the BEST for the whole series... Music, composition, art, story - EVERYTHING was so FINE and PERFECT.
Wish Hemier and Ekko would have stayed in that universe and lived a happy live... BUT Ekko found enough strength to gave up his dream and became a GOAT and HERO.
After the 2 season Ekko and Jinx became my favourite and the best characters who had a unbelievable and magnificent growth.
I feel ya. Season two peaked right here, cause NOTHING in the final two episodes is as good as this.

I thought that I have already moved on, until I watched ep7...
I used to believe in another universe where I'm her Ekko.
Now I feel devastated.
Ekko is a hero, no doubt about that. That being said, I wish we could talk about his motives a little bit more.
This scene highlights Ekko's character wonderfully. Yes, he could have stayed in this paradise, he could have chosen happiness over the war, suffering and loneliness.
This life, in this universe, does not belong to him. Not only would he feel like a thief, a cheat, stealing undoubtedly beautiful life from another Ekko. He knew that this version of Powder, no matter how sweet, wasn’t the kind of love he was looking for.
Ekko has always been an idealist, a romantic. This version of Powder wouldn’t have sated his hunger for love, a true love he felt for „the real Powder.”
My interpretation of his decision is that he decided to come back not only because he felt an obligation to save everybody, he did not want to live a life of illusion.
The song adds to the tone and emotions of this scene, makes you feel thru what these characters are living

The chemistry was CHEMISTRYING. The way she walks in, the way he looks at her. 🔥🔥 The way I was SO giddy, I was fully beside myself.
I wasn't sure if these two had a thing or if I was seeing more than what was, but this scene sealed it so hard. It was sprinkled in that they were already a couple but it was easy to miss if not paying attention. I would KILL to see Ekko and Jinx fall in love in the main timeline. It didn't take long for Ekko to fall for Powder here, which leads me to believe he may have always had a thing for her. And I thought I was delusional for seeing chemistry between them in their fight in season 1 lol. Alas, we may or may never see their love story. I sure hope we do. He's her boy savior. 🥺
