Arcane does NOT use it 24/7 therefore with the noggin you were born with, you should be able to deduce more easily for Arcane that this was a purposeful effect and whether it brought that effect to you or not is what you should be evaluating, not the BTS creation because it couldn’t be more obvious that the production was great (production does not equate to decision).

this reality was exactly what he needed, a wakeup call essentially to him about "what couldve been" with powder and showing him that there is still hope for her. Like he said to this universe's powder, he realized that "he gave up on her" referring to jinx in his original reality. He got hope from this reality and went back to try again with her, even as jinx, and also saved the world in the process🥲
Ekko has got to be the most selfless character in recent fiction. He gave up everything, a perfect world, a life with the woman he loves, so that he could go back to a literal hellscape and fight in a war he has no garuntee of winning... christ, dude. What else is there to say?

I watched the first season throughout a pretty long period of time when it came out, loved it and was kinda obsessed with it but the wait was so long i kinda forgot about it. Yesterday I saw they released the second season, opened it up and last thing I knew I was almost crying at that shot of ekko by himself at the end. One sitting is ROUGH.

I believe Powder knows, that Ekko's a time traveler stuck on her timeline. She knew it right from the beginning. Look at her worried face the whole episode. She also discovered it in his book while peeking at his notes. And wow! In her voice is so much suspicion when she asked him: "Where did you learn those moves!" Reminds me of the Fiona in Shrek 2 (Since do you dance?). And when she says HE got lines (not: YOU got lines), like she knows her Ekko is not present. And the most beautiful thing: Ekko knows she knows and says a subtle but honest goodbye. This scene is beautiful!!!! Thanks to Amanda Overton who propably wrote this scene.

2:12 is the one shot that stuck to me the most, the tearful eyes, the straight face uselessly fighting to hide the sadness within, the avoidance of eye contact. It's the most fragile and childlike we have ever seen from ekko after the prologue, he's like someone who didn't had time to grow out of being a child before turning into an adult, it's even heavier when you know what he have to do, his childhood dream against his responsibilities as an adult
Couldn’t agree more. This scene was so meticulously crafted and executed with extreme delicacy. This is Ekko at his most vulnerable, saying everything he wanted to tell Powder since he was a kid, until tragedy struck. This moment gave him another chance to confess those feelings and be fully embraced by his lover; not be rejected like he did (by Jinx) in his original timeline. This is the closure my boy needed to go back to his shitty timeline, try to save Jinx again, and save everyone else so they too can have hope for a better future. This is my Boy Saviour!!🙌🏿
For me this episode became the BEST for the whole series... Music, composition, art, story - EVERYTHING was so FINE and PERFECT. Wish Hemier and Ekko would have stayed in that universe and lived a happy live... BUT Ekko found enough strength to gave up his dream and became a GOAT and HERO. After the 2 season Ekko and Jinx became my favourite and the best characters who had a unbelievable and magnificent growth.

This scene (and the whole arc in this alternate universe) makes me break down in tears. Sadly, Jinx is the most relatable character for me, I'm mentally ill, I suffer from feeling of abandonment, destructive tendencies and other stuff, and this scene is like me imagining "what if?", what if some things in my life went differently, what if there's a universe where I'm actually happy. I'm also breaking down just seeing Vander, Mylo and Claggor alive in this arc, and also Powder still being Powder. Overall season 2 was such an emotional roller coaster, me and my friend were not ready for that
I honestly hear this song every day since when this song/episode came out on November 23th, I was out with my bf and it was our first date together. Me and him walking on the pier at night and found an empty bench so we sat down and just begin talking literally about anything as we had a beautiful view of the water. It was honestly a beautiful moment since we really enjoyed each other company before I had to leave due to long distance. When I finally came back to my state, I finally watched Arcane season 2.
The chemistry was CHEMISTRYING. The way she walks in, the way he looks at her. 🔥🔥 The way I was SO giddy, I was fully beside myself. I wasn't sure if these two had a thing or if I was seeing more than what was, but this scene sealed it so hard. It was sprinkled in that they were already a couple but it was easy to miss if not paying attention. I would KILL to see Ekko and Jinx fall in love in the main timeline. It didn't take long for Ekko to fall for Powder here, which leads me to believe he may have always had a thing for her. And I thought I was delusional for seeing chemistry between them in their fight in season 1 lol. Alas, we may or may never see their love story. I sure hope we do. He's her boy savior. 🥺

I didn’t know people were even upset about the lack of extra frames. In my opinion, (even before I found out about the whole 4 frames thing) it was just a tasteful artistic choice. Ekko hasn’t had a moment like this in a while, so he’s trying to take snapshots he can always remember. I also think it helps the viewer to appreciate the moment a bit better, since it seems like they were dancing kinda fast, so the amount of frames helps the view not get so caught up in the movement but more so the emotion beneath it all. Either way, this whole show was beautiful. Made me cry a lot :,) Stunning artwork, masterful scenework, depth, stylistic diversity, everything was stunning. I will never stop singing praises of this show. Absolutely wonderful.

I believe Powder knows, that Ekko's a time traveler stuck on her timeline. She knew it right from the beginning. Look at her worried face the whole episode. She also discovered it in his book while peeking at his notes.
And wow! In her voice is so much suspicion when she asked him: "Where did you learn those moves!" Reminds me of the Fiona in Shrek 2 (Since do you dance?).
And when she says HE got lines (not: YOU got lines), like she knows her Ekko is not present.
And the most beautiful thing: Ekko knows she knows and says a subtle but honest goodbye.

she was literally so gorgeous and full of light in this episode. she is so relatable.
2:12 is the one shot that stuck to me the most, the tearful eyes, the straight face uselessly fighting to hide the sadness within, the avoidance of eye contact. It's the most fragile and childlike we have ever seen from ekko after the prologue, he's like someone who didn't had time to grow out of being a child before turning into an adult, it's even heavier when you know what he have to do, his childhood dream against his responsibilities as an adult
And the way he talks too, his tone in this moment, it’s so insecure and fearful

Couldn’t agree more. This scene was so meticulously crafted and executed with extreme delicacy. This is Ekko at his most vulnerable, saying everything he wanted to tell Powder since he was a kid, until tragedy struck. This moment gave him another chance to confess those feelings and be fully embraced by his lover; not be rejected like he did (by Jinx) in his original timeline.
This is the closure my boy needed to go back to his shitty timeline, try to save Jinx again, and save everyone else so they too can have hope for a better future. This is my Boy Saviour!!🙌🏿

For me this episode became the BEST for the whole series... Music, composition, art, story - EVERYTHING was so FINE and PERFECT.
Wish Hemier and Ekko would have stayed in that universe and lived a happy live... BUT Ekko found enough strength to gave up his dream and became a GOAT and HERO.
After the 2 season Ekko and Jinx became my favourite and the best characters who had a unbelievable and magnificent growth.
I feel ya. Season two peaked right here, cause NOTHING in the final two episodes is as good as this.

This scene (and the whole arc in this alternate universe) makes me break down in tears. Sadly, Jinx is the most relatable character for me, I'm mentally ill, I suffer from feeling of abandonment, destructive tendencies and other stuff, and this scene is like me imagining "what if?", what if some things in my life went differently, what if there's a universe where I'm actually happy. I'm also breaking down just seeing Vander, Mylo and Claggor alive in this arc, and also Powder still being Powder. Overall season 2 was such an emotional roller coaster, me and my friend were not ready for that
I want to cry :( It's so beautiful and perfect. If only powder and ekko could be like that for real.

I honestly hear this song every day since when this song/episode came out on November 23th, I was out with my bf and it was our first date together. Me and him walking on the pier at night and found an empty bench so we sat down and just begin talking literally about anything as we had a beautiful view of the water. It was honestly a beautiful moment since we really enjoyed each other company before I had to leave due to long distance. When I finally came back to my state, I finally watched Arcane season 2.

I wasn't sure if these two had a thing or if I was seeing more than what was, but this scene sealed it so hard. It was sprinkled in that they were already a couple but it was easy to miss if not paying attention. I would KILL to see Ekko and Jinx fall in love in the main timeline. It didn't take long for Ekko to fall for Powder here, which leads me to believe he may have always had a thing for her. And I thought I was delusional for seeing chemistry between them in their fight in season 1 lol. Alas, we may or may never see their love story. I sure hope we do. He's her boy savior. 🥺

I didn’t know people were even upset about the lack of extra frames. In my opinion, (even before I found out about the whole 4 frames thing) it was just a tasteful artistic choice. Ekko hasn’t had a moment like this in a while, so he’s trying to take snapshots he can always remember. I also think it helps the viewer to appreciate the moment a bit better, since it seems like they were dancing kinda fast, so the amount of frames helps the view not get so caught up in the movement but more so the emotion beneath it all. Either way, this whole show was beautiful. Made me cry a lot :,) Stunning artwork, masterful scenework, depth, stylistic diversity, everything was stunning. I will never stop singing praises of this show. Absolutely wonderful.
