- I was not sure how this recipe for homemade lunch meat would turn out, but it was epic! The turkey lunch meat slices were so flavorful and the whole process is so easy.
Hardware I Used:
Lunch Meat Maker: amzn.to/3I5LDWi
Slicer: amzn.to/3SHLflJ
RECIPE:
1 pound ground turkey thigh
1/2 teaspoon each onion & garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt
Fresh black pepper
1 teaspoon dried herbs, like thyme and rosemary
Bring a pot of water to a bare simmer and make sure the water level comes almost to the top of the lunch meat canister.
In a large bowl, add the turkey meat, onion and garlic powder, salt, pepper, and mix very well with your hands. Spray the inside of the metal jar with avocado or olive oil, and sprinkle the dried herbs all around the inside of the canister.
Add the seasoned turkey meat and press it down with the remaining attachments from the metal canister. Place is simmering water, put a thermometer in the top, and cook until the internal temperature is 165F. It should take about one hour and twenty minutes. Don’t boil the water, it should be a bare simmer.
Once the meat is cooked, carefully take out of the water and allow to cool, this will take a while. Transfer to the fridge overnight.
Remove the top potion from the canister, run a knife around the edges, and shake out the turkey meat. Use a slicer or mandolin to slice the meat into thin pieces. Meat will keep in the fridge for 7 days. I don’t recooked d freezing, because it will affect the texture. - แนวปฏิบัติและการใช้ชีวิต
Living in rural Tennessee my whole life I grew up eating everything fried and bad. Stumble on your channel a few weeks ago and I’m a changed man. I’m on the plan along with my family. Thanks for all you do to educate people like myself who have no idea what we are actually eating.
Well done @tndeere2 !
It is amazing how much better you can feel after a few weeks of clean eating. Your family may not yet understand the changes you've made, but I can promise you they will appreciate it in the future. I wish everyone could have the experience.
@@dianeatpeace337 At age 57 I am lucky I take zero meds. No blood pressure or cholesterol problems. How ever I am very active and in fair shape. I was a long time runner but to many aches and pains now to run just walk and lift weights now. But my diet has mostly been awful. After only a week or so I can tell I sleep much better and wake up feeling more rested.

I will definitely be trying this out. Oh and it’s definitely something I can have the grandkids help with 😊❤ Have a great week!

Hi Bobby, my sister has been following you for years. She absolutely loves you and your work. But I was skeptical…until yesterday. Your videos kept showing up on my FB reels so I figured I’d give it a shot and watch them. Bobby! I am SO thankful to have given you a chance! I love your cooking videos and your grocery hauls. I love how you take your time when cooking your recipes and I love all of your healthy food recommendations too. I am overjoyed to be going to Aldi’s next month on my next shopping trip. God bless you Bobby! Your videos and reels have blessed me beyond measure and it’s only been a couple of days since I’ve been really tuning in. Thanks again Bobby! 🛒

LOVE this! I've been wanting to make my own lunch meat for a while now (instead of buying that pre-made, fart-smelling mess 🤢). Just found your channel and I love it! Thank you!
I use the Plainville and it’s delicious😋
Thats crazy, so kool. Cant wait to show my sister.
Hello how are you doing 👋❤
So cute❤ your daughter is precious❤
Turkey meat is still available at Costco, the price went up and they moved the location. Its no longer in the open refrigerated section but the closed refrigerated section. this option may be better.
2:44 "evacuate the dance floor"😂💃🏻

Wow never knew we could make our own turkey ham!! Thanks for this!
Your daughter is adorable. The star!
Bobby Learning from u Imade my own lunch meat. It was the best sandwich I have ever had. I used chicken breast (thighs smell gamey etc). Mixed it with some butter, and Hard Carnivore seasoning. Awesome. Going to make my own ham with less salt and no sugar. Thanlks ever so much.😊
WOW wayyy cool 😎 ❤🙏
Thank you. Was about to say wear a safety glove. My dad sliced his finger bad on one of those mandolins. Looks yummy. Blessings

Wonderful word you make here,I agree with you totally, how are you doing 👋👋👋👋👋
Bobby, what is the healthiest bread to eat, daves power seed, Ezekiel, or homemade sourdough bread??
Love the cabinets, are they laminate or real white oak
AMAZING 👍🤎
Beautiful comment, Hello how are you doing 👋👋👋👋👋
Bobby, you have to check out the fresh market they have one in broward county. they have slice fresh turkey breast and a butcher who can cut it for you please im waiting on a video also they might be better than sprouts
Rosy always ha s the best outfits btw....
P.s. can you make a guide on which paleo foods you have in the pantry?
Nice vidoe...enjoyed the lesson...I was wondering if you ate bread at all?
I miss your TH-cam lives!
THAT is amazing! Bobby - before I buy it, it looked like you really struggled to take it apart. Was it very difficult. I've been working out with weights 3X per week but will I need a lot of upper body strength to dislodge the meat from the cannister or get one of my neighbors to help me?
I'm wondering if bags you can cook meat in the oven with would work to line the pan
Hi Bobby , you know what’s so funny? You don’t get the sliced organic turkey at Costco down there. It’s been out of stock however, up here in Connecticut we always have it. What we don’t have is all the different Siete chips and flavors you get. We only get the plain ones and the cinnamon ones periodically. It’s never a main staple. Here’s what the cool thing is, I found that Thrive Market paleo cassava chips blow Siete out of the water. They are so stinkin good! Especially the Nacho flavor. They also have these news queso puffs!! Awesome stuff. I like the Siete puffs better than their flimsy chips 😅
Can you please link the thermometer you used. Thanks!
I have that meat press it's awesome, but that slicer ugh no good it falls apart. I will definitely make the turkey.
I was thinking to make my own lunchmeat for a long time. I think I’m ready.😂
Can you give a link to the thermometer also.
Excellent idea how are you doing 👋👋👋
I wonder if you can use a sous vide machine with the metal tool here and cook it longer
Could u do a video on Bobby approved Salsas and hot sauces?
OMG BABY ROSIE!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
why not just cook turkey and slice up the meat? seems much easier and better also.
How is it better. Either way still the same.
This just makes it more like lunch meat look and feel. But not better or worse. But just cooking and slicing for sandwiches is easier
I would rather have fresh sliced turkey, better texture, flavor..just better all around in my opinion.
Yea like buy a turkey breast cook it and slice it thin
Because it doesn't get attention from the internet and he would have to get a real job

I wouldn't mind trying this, but honestly, I'm happy just slicing rotisserie chicken, roasted turkey or beef, or baked ham right off the bone and making my sandwich without all the hassle. 🙂
0:49 def not half a tsp😆😆
I watch these types of videos all the time, and I always laugh when they say how much they're supposedly using. It's not even close.
Maria Emerich makes this
How long can you store it for in the fridge? Have you tried freezing it for later use and how well does it hold texture?
Once any meat is cooked it can be frozen
Can you link the meat thermometer you used please!
What about meat thermometer link?
❤
Wonder if you can do this with ground beef?
