This is comedy gold. The walk to the stage with everyone stumbling, Champion peeing, the stage being comically small with no steps, the giant sign of Leslie's face with 'LE', the repetition of 'Get On Your Feet' at random times, the zooming in, Pistol Pete. The rest of this episode with Ben is brilliant as well. I recommend Parks and Rec to everyone I meet and I think 90% of that is based on the comedic genius of Season 4 Episode 11, The Comeback Kid. This episode alone deserves an Oscar, Emmy, Golden Globe and Bafta.
The way they set up that scene over the episode is fantastic too. Tom’s obsession with luxurious red carpet. April forgetting that the basketball court is now an ice skating rink because she hated the booking guy’s boring stupid voice. The stage being way smaller because they had to jettison most of the lumber since none of them had a CDL (and because Ron thinks all contractors are thieves). Andy “jetsons”-ing most of the poster because… Andy. Champion’s bathroom issues. And Pistol Pete’s PTSD about dunking is a Lifetime movie in itself.
This was one of the first episodes I saw because my in-laws were watching it during a family trip. The moment where Andy laughs hysterically was the moment I decided I needed this show in my life. It still cracks me up.
This is the funniest scene I’ve ever watched in my life. To this day, I laugh so hard I cry. Not only the funniest moment of this show, but of pretty much any sitcom. The next closest would be the office fire drill scene.
The best and funniest scene in the history of television in the whole universe ever! I remember re-watching it after a digestive surgery and my abdominal area hurts like i have never experience before because of laughing to this scene
Michael Georgiou the office one yes, that’s funny too but not like this scene, i mean do you see the sign with only her eyes and not even her full name? The other one haven’t had the pleasure to watch it :)
I love the "walk" to the podium. To get Leslie up, on the platform, Mike Schur said that he pictured it like the statue of the Iwo Jima Marines raising the flag.
I'm a custodian and was cleaning the bathrooms at my job when this "get on your feet" song started playing and I got a flashback to this scene from the show
This scene is probably the funniest out of all p&r. It's funny how the little things fit in to make that scene funny. Like the three legged dog and them not having the budget to get a longer carpet. This is a comedic masterpiece.
No doubt, one of if not the best scenes in a comedy, of all time. Every second is amazing, every quote is perfect. The “get on your feet” double meaning after everyone starts falling.. I love it so much. I miss this show.
“We had to jetsons most of the poster” “Windows are the eyes to the house” Andy Dwyer might just be the greatest character in the history of all television
The song selections on this show were perfect. Get on your feet! 🎵🎵 Also the janitor interrupting the Lil Sebastian moment of silence with "man I feel like a woman" on his portable radio 😂😂 This show deserved more awards and credit than it got.
I remember the first time watching this scene… I literally was screaming at my tv at 3am in the morning and my mama came downstairs to see if i was okay 😂😂😂
The music playing in loop while they were awkwardly walking to the stage was a stroke of genius.
It's so awkward. I love it
the person switching the music on and off is truly an artist
Pistol Pete: *falls*
Music guy:*starts music*
GET ON YO FEET
Amen
I mean it's gotta be Orin right?
it called a loop
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
This is the single greatest scene in television history
Sophie Brett IKR!!!!!
Agreed
It’s just so funny how much happens in one scene
Was it improv?
Yep

couldlnt have written it better , parks and rec is comedic genius , subtle but amazing
@@vishalbardoloi7377 good to see people acknowledge parks and rec , especially funny scenes like this
Me, an empath, sensing that you enjoyed this episode.
honestly if it were just an L it would be funnier even
(Pistol Pete falls real bad, possibly breaking several bones)

Get up and make it happen!
The "walk" to the podium. Priceless!
maybe my favourite moment from the show
Laughed sooooo hard when I first saw it
Get on your feet!
Andy laughing at Pistol Pete's crushing slip and fall is the funniest moment in the entire series.
That might've been the actor genuinely laughing and it was just kept in the final cut lmao
@@andrewalonsi i honestly wouldn’t be surprised if that was the case lmao
The entire cast couldn't get through this scene without giggling!
'Can't you do anything wrong, Jerry?' Lol, poor Jerry
You mean Larry, right ?
"Damn, you had to do your job"
It's Terry now
@@stellaroj no it's Barry
Who's Jerry? You mean Gary, right?
Lmao I forgot about Andy laughing about Pistol Pete falling
That face is priceless

I still think that might've been the actor genuinely laughing and it was just left in this final cut
Doctor: You only have 5 minutes left to live
Me: ...
Get on your feet!
But it’s 5:04 seconds long.
God: I’ll allow it.
🤣
Idiot
This one moment in Parks and Rec is funnier than all 12 seasons of Big Bang Theory. It’s pure genius.
amen to that
And all of 10 seasons of Friends
And the last 5 seasons of How I Met Your Mother bc why not

Friendly reminder that this and the claymation video are in the same episode, making it literally the greatest episode ever

I remember I was making such a fuss while laughing at this scene that my mom came to my room to see what was up 😂
This is definitely one of the top funniest scenes in the history of comedy but I think the first aid training scene in the office still tops the list.
Much funnier than the office fire drill
@@Coolsomeone234 Ryan started the fire.
Imagine if The Office and Parks and Rec switched Andys.
Andy: "Pistol Pete is shooting at us!"
“Windows are the eyes to the house.”
The fact Ron picked Champion up in the first place is so sweet
Ron is the best. 🥲
Whenever something goes terribly wrong in my life that song clip plays in my head
I usually just blame Gary
"Ron no he only has three legs!--GET ON YOUR FEET"
The best and funniest scene in the history of television in the whole universe ever!

I love the "walk" to the podium. To get Leslie up, on the platform, Mike Schur said that he pictured it like the statue of the Iwo Jima Marines raising the flag.
This is the Fire Drill scene of Parks and Recreation
I wish they showed the part where Leslie is flopping onto the stage. The scene is comedic gold!!
The ice walk is definitely one of the most iconic scenes in the whole series 😂❄️
I'm a custodian and was cleaning the bathrooms at my job when this "get on your feet" song started playing and I got a flashback to this scene from the show

I actually had tears from laughing so hard at this whole scene. Comedy gold.
“Together we can defeat…obese children!” 😂😂😂😂
Four Seasons Total Landscaping made me think of this scene. Same energy lol
“We had to jetsons most of the poster”
“Windows are the eyes to the house”
Andy Dwyer might just be the greatest character in the history of all television
**Andy hears Ron say the word jettison**
Andy: "We had to Jetson's most of the poster too"
This scene is so iconic when they’re shuffling on the ice and the music runs out 😂
Andy what happened to the sign?
Oh we had to Jetsons most of that as well.
😂
Andy is a legend
No dark humor, no nudity, no too vulgar sex jokes. Just pure kind comedy. This is the great show
April yelling Ron he only has 3 legs always gets to me.
never laughed as much as when I first saw this scene, absolute comedic gold.
This scene never fails to make me cry from laughter
One of my favorite scenes - Especially the way Andy loses his footing and slips!!!
Don't think I will ever get tired of this scene :)
Pistol Pete falls
*get on your feet*
this is probably one of my favourite tv scenes of all tv shows ever. and can we all just admire the 4:42 :'DDD
Every time the music played I started laughing because they were struggling to move 🤣
This whole segment is :chef kiss:
Lol the song goes from this inspirational anthem for walking to the stage, to a mockery of Leslie and everyone from falling over themselves.
The moment when Andy loses it... That will forever be one of my favorite moments on this show.
This is probably my favorite scene from the show. I cry laughing every time I watch it!
This is the moment I really fell for parks and rec. My favorite scene from parks, the office, and the good place.
Loved when they added the paw into the hand group
The part where Andy is laughing at pistol Pete 😂
When she lays on the podium from exhaustion. This scene had me weak😂😂😂😂
EVERY TIME I HEAR THE MUSIC STARING AGAIN I LAUGH SO HARD OMG I LOVO THIS SHOW
This is on par with the Office CPR scene, and will go down in television history!
Omg yessss
I remember watching this with my younger brother and laughing so hard together we replayed the scene multiple times. I miss him
I cannot stop crying laughing every single time I watch this.
This one moment in parks and rec is funnier than 10 seasons of the office and that is a fact
Andy’s fall- priceless
One of the most SEAMLESS COMEDIC CLIMAXES OF MODERN TELEVISION. I stand in applause, cuz this scene SLAPS!
The fact that the last GET ON YOUR FEET cuts off is what sends this part into the stratosphere
just smile and wave boys, smile and wave
Genius comedic timing in this scene. This is why I love Parks and Rec!
“No Ron he only has 3 legs” took me outtt 🤣🤣
if i had to choose a scene that sums up Parks & Rec i think it would be this one
The song selections on this show were perfect. Get on your feet! 🎵🎵 Also the janitor interrupting the Lil Sebastian moment of silence with "man I feel like a woman" on his portable radio 😂😂 This show deserved more awards and credit than it got.
The cut from 3:33 to Lesie standing on the table had me dying

This is absolutely the funniest scene in sitcom history.
there's nothing in this scene that isn't funny
Just noticed the banner was misprinted with just part of her face and first two letters of her name
"Together we can defeat, Obese Children"
Is so underrated
Drops three legged dog on the ground...
*Get On Your Feet*

I have seen this so many times, so did I JUST notice the sign is only her eyes and "LE"!! 🤣🤣💀
The funniest part is when they keep playing that song over and over to try and make things less awkward. Gets me every damn timd🤣
Why did they cut out the part where they finally push her on to the stage?
every second of this scene is pure gold
