Our company name is just a play on words. We have a lot of anime themed months, but we also do other themes to cater for a wider audience. This month is Marvel themed because of the Civil War movie.

I get that you're probably a big company and need to cater to the majority, but there is a big audience out there for anime, both old and new, that hate comic books. Take a page from J-list's book!
Well our themes are very focused. As in we list out exactly what theme it is every month, and give huge hints as to what would be inside. But the bigger reason why we don't just do anime themes is the variety of anime merchandise that comes out every month. We only do anime themes when we find really nice and high quality items, but those definitely don't get released monthly. The large manufacturers are only focused on mainstream animes such as Dragon Ball, One Piece, Naruto, Gundam, etc. If we do anime themes every month then we're forced to choose low quality or uninteresting products. This is also why boxes that are purely anime focused don't do well every month.

However, if by "gay" you're referring to sexual attraction then I think you're overcompensating your own idioms on the subject. Things people like and don't like, and how they speak have little influence on sexual orientation. Sexuality in itself is rather ambiguous. Be you heterosexual, homosexual, bisexual, asexual, sapiosexual, androsexual, demisexual and a whole host of others. All of which cross over and accumulate at different points in time. Trying to define what someone is off of irrelevant facts is just backwards thinking. And if you're pushing tables onto others who have shown no preference either way, then you should probably look at yourself. Why do you have such distaste for the word gay? Our company name is just a play on words. We have a lot of anime themed months, but we also do other themes to cater for a wider audience. This month is Marvel themed because of the Civil War movie.
Lootakubox don't you think it's somewhat false advertising to have a name that's contrary to the products? there are plenty of other boxes pushing Civil War guff, why not specialise in anime/otaku culture? I get that you're probably a big company and need to cater to the majority, but there is a big audience out there for anime, both old and new, that hate comic books. Take a page from J-list's book!
Well our themes are very focused. As in we list out exactly what theme it is every month, and give huge hints as to what would be inside.
But the bigger reason why we don't just do anime themes is the variety of anime merchandise that comes out every month. We only do anime themes when we find really nice and high quality items, but those definitely don't get released monthly. The large manufacturers are only focused on mainstream animes such as Dragon Ball, One Piece, Naruto, Gundam, etc. If we do anime themes every month then we're forced to choose low quality or uninteresting products.
This is also why boxes that are purely anime focused don't do well every month.
Sometimes people think "Otaku" and "Nerd/Geek" are interchangeable... Few realize "Otaku" isn't the word for geek or nerd in Japanese culture.. =_=
Well Otaku really only means somebody that's overly obsessed with something in popular culture. Hence our name is Loot and Otaku put together to mean somebody obsessed with loot.
