The Arctic Monkeys have been around for like 20 years & are one of the most interesting & innovative rock bands in the last 2 0 years. You should check out more of them. They really change up their styles about every other album. They're one of my favorite bands right now

I always have felt that some songs are really supposed to be played in the dark of night, sounds good in daylight but this song sounds so much better at night
That intense drum beat with the gritty bass. So good! Dua Lipa did a nice cover coming from the female perspective.

their early career is much more speed, much more rock. Almost punk. I prefer their debut, even though I love this song.
My theory about them is it doesn't matter if slow or fast: it MUST be danceable. That's the difference between classic AM and his solo stuff.

I feel you guys should take a deep dive into there first album "What people say i am im not" a master peace with heavy northern England slang and accents pure and raw which made them stand out from everyone around them at the time and what rocketed them to global recognition

The best band of the last 15 years possibly only rivaled by The Black Keys in my opinion. They have matured so much musically and lyrically since their early days. Their old stuff ages like wine and their new stuff is a breath of fresh air. Also love the Chelsea jersey, Lex!

This whole album is a masterpiece from start to finish. Not one weak track
Great song and band. There is also an excellent live version of the Arctic Monkeys on David Letterman playing this unique classic. Dave likes 'em too.

Alex Turner, the band's main songwriter, was heavily influenced by the Liverpool beat poet John Cooper Clarke, who's been around forever. Check out any of his videos on TH-cam and you'll see it immediately. They even adapted one of his poems called I Wanna Be Yours into a song that did well in the charts.

I heard this for the first time about 6 months ago on the radio in LA. So intoxicating.Then I watched the a live version which adds so much more to the experience.
Like you guys said, it's nothing like we listen to, and that's make this song so beautiful and unique. I find its lyrics and beats pretty amazing, nothing short of a masterpiece and I feel it resonates with my heartbeats, thus creating a soothing or calming effect on me. This song has been among my top 5 favorite since the time I first listened in early 2010s, and now it has become irreplaceable!
