Usagi is one of my fav series of all time! Currently taking my time as well,savoring it, barely on saga vol 3, have them all but been reading it for a couple years now :)
I haven't heard a single complaint about it yet! LOL. Hope you love it. If anything you should be able to sell it off down the road and make your money back (but I doubt you'll want to)!
@@Omnibuddy did anyone get a response or figure out why the reprint of volume 1 of Saga was slightly blue or different shade of black? Thought someone said they thought they might reprint more volumes not being numbered with different covers. I thought it was strange that volume 1 and 9 was printed around the same time and they didn’t match exactly.
@@dacollector4452 it’s because it’s a second edition and needed it to be different from the first print so it was still technically a “limited” edition. The rumors is they may print more but DH has said they’re not.

The Special Edition is going for over $300 at some places. For $200, I picked up Vol 1 of Fantagraphics, Vol 1 of Origins, and Vol 1 and 2 of Dark Horse Saga. It seems like Dark Horse and IDW are staggering their releases so that new books are coming out almost every month. Looks like I picked a good time to start collecting Usagi.
This is one of the best times to be collecting Usagi! FYI: Origins is colored reprints of the Fantagraphics stuff (for now until they finish Fantagraphics and move on to colorizing the Dark Horse line), so you may be double-dipping if you bought the Fantagraphics boxset and are also purchasing Origins. Currently the two collected editions by IDW that are out and are NEW content is Bunraku and Homecoming (TPB vol 1 and 2). Burnraku has a limited hardcover but Homecoming does not.
I heard if you wanted to do read the beginning stories from the start there's a trade paperback called Origins is that okay to start with.... but great video...I'm in
