Don't Stand So Close To Me, Every Breath You Take, and King of Pain are my favorites. Best solo Sting songs are Fields of Gold, Englishman in New York, and I'm So Happy I Can't Stop Crying. All 6 are amazing.

Oh man, The Police are legends. Their lead singer, Sting, had a very successful solo career after the band split. I believe you’ll be blown away by Stings song Desert Rose with Cheb Mami, a brilliant Algerian musician and singer. His voice is amazing, together with Sting, it’s magic. Fun fact, Sting was a school teacher before his music career.

*LOL* Yep, drunk is one word for it. When this song first came out, my friend group nearly ALL ended up in the ER with alcohol poisoning of the counting game. Between Roxanne and Every Breath You Take, and Message in a Bottle, most of us swore of booze for decades! It was way too easy, especially with how addictive The Police's sound was. I got to see them with my kids at their reunion tour in the early 2000s, and they were just as fabulous. Hadn't lost the energy, fire, and commanding stage presence A BIT! If you liked this one, try any of their catalogue (starting with the two above for popularity), then spread out to Sting's solo stuff - the lead vocalist has a ton of excellent songs that have a different vibe. My favorite of his is A Thousand Years, but again, you can't pick a 'wrong' one.

While Sting (the lead singer) gets most of the attention, the drummer, Stewart Copeland is also crazy talented. He plays a lot of innovative patterns. He's not playing standard rhythms.
The Police have lots of hits. They were so popular that MTV used them extensively in their famous "I want my MTV" commercials.

A song from the movie The Three Musketeers from the '90s, with Charlie Sheen, Kiefer Sutherland, Oliver Platt, Chris O'Donnell, Tim Curry(my favorite) and Rebecca DeMornay. In my opinion, the best of the many Musketeers movies. The song is so beautiful, and the video of them singing it is funny.

Hilarious reaction as always. But I definitely have to call you out on the spitting thing. Really incredible live vocal performances are often all about spitting. I mean even go back to opera. You don't have microphones; they have pipes and they know how to project, and they put so much power behind their consonants to start words and phrases and some of them were well known for spitting for several feet while they were singing.
I can't tell you how many punk and post punk shows and even like really good high tempopp Blues shows and music like this where it's live, and the performer is just totally into it and you're going to salivate like crazy and you can only swallow for so long, might as well make it stylish while you do it, lol.
