Conquering the Portages
The journey was not without its challenges. The portages tested my physical strength and mental determination as it was extreme summer heat and full bugs. Carrying my canoe and gear over rugged terrain was no easy task with the humidity and heat, and multiple species of flies biting everywhere they could! ​
It was fun to catch my first CLAM! a few Pike, Bass, and a decent Catfish!
Along the way, I encountered breathtaking sights, and none were more awe-inspiring than the Big Paresseux Falls. The sheer power and beauty of the cascading water left me in awe. It was a moment of pure wonder, reminding me of the incredible forces of nature that shape our world.
