Ms. Mayerovitcz...he wasn't summing up his life, Dr. Porter was bringing attention to this man as someone we need to know. I for one will now find books about him and learn more of this marvelous selfless man.
Great video! I loved how his desire to help children continued on, even when things became difficult. Especially how he was freed due to his religion, but refused to leave the children alone.
The Flora Plonsky Levy Lecture was delivered by Bruno Bettelheim on Janus Korczak at the University of Louisiana, Lafayette, Louisiana. The lecture was published as a booklet in 1986. He was a saint.
Henryk Goldszmit -Janusz Korczak.Bello personagio.Vero eroe,"vecchio dottore" -direttore dell orfanotrofio ebreo in ghetto varsaviano.Rifiutava tutte le oferte per salvarlo dai polacchi. Lui a sacrificato la vita sua per poveri orfani fino ultimo minuto .....silenziozo,umile,paziente.
What a wonderful person he was. Rip Janusz Korczak.

I truly admired his ambition to help all children and even through rough patches he prospered and never left children alone

The reason he was offered freedom, was not his religion. But yes, it is wonderful, that he refused to abandon the children.

Awesome
My favorite quote of Korczak is: "There are no children - there are people."
Such a beautiful story! He was a real Catholic hero just like st. Maximilian Kolbe!
