We love to jig as well although we typically use big plastic swimbaits on 1 - 2 oz jigheads instead of spoons although the results sound similar. Regardless of how you catch them lakers are blast! Thanks for taking the time to watch out video!
Try drift cast-jigging Luhr Jensen/Rapala products...Suffix braided line (on light spinning tackle) and small Crippled Herring metal jigs for Lake Superior lakers. This technique is the most basic, enjoyable and extremely productive off reef points, and shallow bays on Isle Royale. At times,8-12 lb lakers are possible on every cast...not monsters but most enjoyable on light tackle and enjoying the sound of nature, while drifting, instead of the sound of trolling.
Definitely one of my favorite trips ever!
WOW! Nonstop fishing action catching those monsters. Love the sound of that drag zipping!
Wow! You guys needed at least one more person in the boat. I volunteer for the next trip.

What area of Lake Superior there's alot of water there?!?!?!
Thats amazing!

What specific lures would you recommend for trolling trout with leadcore on smaller lakes?

how does that skeeter 2190 handle rougher weather.
I think some coordinates should be posted in here :)
If you're gonna release is sticking your hands in the fishes gills worth it? may as well keep them they are dead after that anyways....
