- Steam on the Bluebell Railway is always varied, here we have:
Q Class 30541 0-6-0 heading north from Horsted Keynes with the Birdcage brake and southern coaching stock.
P class 0-6-0T No. 323 and E4 0-6-2T passing Horsted Place.
E4 No. 473 coasting down to Horsted Keynes
E4 473 passes Kingscote, exchanging single line tokens in the up direction, and again heading south with the non stop Golden Arrow Pullman
Q class 0-6-0 arriving and departing for East Grinstead and then Horsted Keynes. Note the beautifully restored rolling stock, including the colourful LSWR brake. Then coasting down to Horsted Keynes
At Sheffield Park H class 0-4-4T arrives. Standard class 5 73082 runs up to the water crane and then departs noisily, with cylinder cocks open, with its train for East Grinstead
C class 0-6-0 592 leaves sheffield Park with an ECS train (Empty Coaching Stock) for Horsted Keynes, Pullman car Fingall and the Queen Mary brake van
H Class on a goods train works hard and stops on Freshfield Bank - reason unknown and scurries off to Horsted Keynes.
H class No. 263 is ready to depart from Sheffield Park as Q 30541 arrives with the Golden Arrow Pullman. H departs with a slight slip with its train of immaculately restored Maunsell and older vintage carriages
30541 shunts the Pullmans into the carriage shed and heads for the engine shed
At Horsted Keynes C class shunts stock then departs South with the LNER Directors Saloon. The United Diaries Milk Tank and the LBSCR Milk van can be seen in Platform 1.
S15 4-6-0 No. 847 accelerates northbound at the classic location of Horsted Place crossing with Bulleid and Maunsell coaches in tow
H class drifts through the 5 mph TSR (Temporary Speed Restriction) at the Leamland Bridge and is seen rattling past Tremains, departing north impatiently from Horsted Keynes having had to wait for a delayed southbound service, again, at Holden summit, bearing a wreath in memory of Simon Brown and arriving, running round and leaving East Grinstead.
Finally the Wickham trolley with a posse of Bluebell volunteers - without whom working so hard over the years this video wouldn't have been possible!
This is a really nice video. Well shot and well edited together. Every scene is full of interest. Thanks for posting
Andrew, you are more than welcome. Thank you for your comment.
my daughter, currently 18 months old utterly loves this video and cheers 'choo choo' at each shot. :)
:-) - I am glad she likes it. . My guess she is probably hooked on steam for life now, especially if she visits the real thing. Nick.
Regular visitors to the Bluebell only living 4 miles away. She loves it.
This is a very nice video indeed. I particularly appeciate the fact that you have included shots of the stations, working signals, signal-boxes and other track-side items and structures. It is these, often overlooked, aspects which are of particular interest to me and really serve to enhance the railway atmosphere -- and of course I love the trains.
You are very welcome, I am encouraged by your remarks, thank you. Nick.

I wanted to know why don’t dig a tunnel and do an extension for the
mainline Train so they extend the unused abandoned underground stations.
Why couldn’t they use the part D78 Stock train doors
on the sides and also restructure the front face of the A60 and A62 stock that includes the class 313, class 314 and class 315 remix and
make them all together and also redesign them an overhead line and also
make them into six cars per unit and also have three Disabled Toilets on that six cars per unit A60 and A62 stock trains and also convert
the A60 and A62 stock trains into a Scania N112, Volvo TD102KF, Volvo B10M, Gardner 6LXC, Gardner 6LXB and Gardner 8LXB Diesel Engines and
also, the Loud 7-Speed Voith Gearboxes and even Loud 8-Speed Leyland
Hydra cyclic Gearboxes in the A60 and A62 stock, class 313, class 314,
and class 315 and also modernise the A60 and A62 stock and make it into
an 11 car per unit so it could have fewer doors, more tablets, computers and mobile phone chargers?
A Stock Train and 8 Disabled Toilets on those A stock trains. why couldn’t we refurbish and modernise the
waterloo and city line Triple-Track train tunnel and make it bigger and extend it to bank station, making it into a Triple-Track Railway Line so
those 4 European countries Germany, Italy, Poland And Sweden to convert the waterloo and city line Triple-Track Train tunnel into a
High-Speed train?
The Third Euro tunnel Triple-Track Train line
to make it 11 times better for passengers so they could go from A to B.
then put the modernised 11 car per unit A Stock and put them on a bigger modernised waterloo and city line Triple-Track train tunnel so it
could go to bank station to those 4 European countries such as Germany,
Italy, Poland And Sweden. The modernised refurbished 11 cars per unit A stock could be a High Speed The Third Triple-Track Euro Tunnel Train So it is promising and 37 times a lot more possible to do this kind of a project that is OK for London Germany, Italy, Poland And Sweden.
oh
by the way, could they also tunnel the Triple-Track Railway Line so it will stop from Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire and Essex so that the
Passengers will go to Germany, Italy, Poland and Sweden and also extend
the Triple-Track Railway Line from Bank to Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire and Essex Stations so that more people from there could go
to Germany, Italy, Poland And Sweden Easily.
Why couldn't they
extend the Piccadilly line and also build a brand-new underground train
station so it could go even further right up to Clapton, Wood Street
and also make another brand new tunnel train station in Chingford and could they extend the DLR?
All of the classes 150, 155, 154, 117, 114, 105, and 106 will be replaced by all of the Scania N112, Volvo
TD102KF, Volvo B10M, Gardner 6LXB, Gardner 6LXC and Gardner 8LXB Diesel
Six carriages and three accessible toilets are air conditioning trains
including Highams Park for extended roots which is the Piccadilly Line
and the DLR trains.
Could you also convert all of the 1973 stock trains into an air-conditioned maximum speed of 78 km/hours (48 MPH)
re-refurbished and make it into 8 cars per unit if that will be alright, and also extend all of the Piccadilly train stations to make
more space for all of the extended 8 car per unit 1973 stock air
condition trains and can you also build another Mayflower and Tornado
Steam Locomotive Companies and can order Every 17 Octagon and
Hexagon shape LNER diagram unique minor no.13 and unique small no.11 Boilers from those Countries such as Greece, Italy, Poland, and Sweden,
can they make Mayflower and Tornado Steam Locomotive speeds by up to
117MPH so you can try and test it on the Original Mainline so it will be
much safer for the Passengers to enjoy the 117MPH speed Limit only for HS2 and Channel Tunnel mainline services if they needed 16
Carriages Per units can they use those class 55’s, class 44’s, class
40’s and class 43HST Diesel Locomotive’s right at the Back of those 16
Carriages Per Unit so they can take over at the Back to let those
Mayflower and Tornado Steam locomotives have a rest for those
interesting Journeys Please!!!!, oh can you make all of those Coal Boxes’ 16 Tonnes for all of the 117MPH Mayflower and Tornado Steam
The locomotive’s so the Companies will Understand us, passengers!!!! so Please make sure that the Builders can do as they are Told!! And please
do something about these very important Professional ideas Please Prime Minister of England, Prime Minister of Sweden, Prime Minister of
Germany, the Prime Minister of Italy, the Prime Minister of Poland and that Includes the Mayor of London.
lovely semaphore rig @ 3:35.
Yes, - and there are lots more working semaphores on the line, with a fine collection of them at the platform ends at Horsted Keynes. Glad you like this one. Nick.
Was this on 18th of july?
I have only just seen your comment. A quick check and I do not think any of the sequences were filmed on the 18th of July in that year. Nick.
