We don't have many old car junk yards around here in Reno Nevada. Even if you go to the pick n pull you don't find many old cars anymore. Always fun to see what you can find in those old car junk yards.Thanks for sharing.
Yep Hot August nights just gets a bunch of high rollers from the casinos to show off their cars that have been professionally restored not much left for the normal guy to restore.
We had a nice yard like that here a while ago. It was the last of it's kind. . . It was mostly cars of the 30's-70's. With the occasional newbie thrown in. Now it changed hands and they crushed all the old stuff. . . Sad day indeed.

Seriously, those SAAB 99's are becoming really rare, even here in Sweden. It was the second most sold car here during its days (after Volvo of course) but suddenly they were all gone. My theory is that nobody cared for them since they were so common, so they all went to scrap instead of getting fixed when they reached the end of their lives as daily drivers. Now they're a rare sight on our roads.
Come to think of it, plenty of them probably died the "Folkrace" death too. They were popular there. (For the curious: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Folkrace )
Man I watch your videos almost religiously and it would great if you guys made more vids at that or other salvage / junk / scrap yards. And btw it be awesome if you bought & saved that 62 Olds...:)

All of the junk yards out of East, all got brought up and turned into shopping centers. Can't help thinking that when I was out in Arizona, going cross-country, as most of us do one time or another, but that would be a great place to go look for cars in the junk yards, no rest of course. ==== coyote auto salvage alberta shows up on a Google search, out in the middle of nowhere. I would love to see one of those 1973-1975 Monte Carlos driving. It seems that too many people degrade them with over-the-top and/or tasteless modifications. I'm glad you all don't wreck them. Keep doing what you do!

That was a fun tour with some real gems, waiting to be rescued. But I have a question---do they not use road salt in the part of Canada where you live? The reason I ask is because you find so many cars (even from the 40's) that still have good frames. In the Rust Belt of the US, you don't find stuff like that---the frames have all disintegrated into rust. Oh, and you might get a laugh out of this---in the "Up Next" section of videos right next to yours was "Colon Hydrotherapy session--WARNING--VIEWER DISCRETION". That was a rather strange turn of events....

Some big trucks made in Spain by Chrysler were badged FARGO, but I'll bet the A would not have been the same size. Nice salvage yard.
