    I love this explanation. If you really look into this, you can see how a stock can be manipulated based on numbers. If an organization or a group of them can own the total volume of supply and demand, they can control the price and shake retail investors out of their positions.

    A company with great fundamentals, how will its share price reflect if it's based on perception? Also a company with great revenue has an earning per share higher than its current price. EPS v market price? Does it matter if it's an otc v nasdaq? Thanks

    So where does the money go? I know the seller gets the money from the buyer, but shouldn’t the company ABC gets the money? Or do they only get it one time when they issued the shares at a specific price in the first place? If so, then how would companies like Apple continuing to make money from their stocks since they don’t issue more shares and instead buying back shares?

    • @claytrader

      They get the money the FIRST time the share is sold.

    How companies gets benefitted from stock price movement? If buyers and sellers are regular people who's money exchanged between their pockets only. How company comes in between to be benefitted? Specially from intraday trades. Thanks.

    • @LlamitaFiel
      @LlamitaFiel 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Companies can benefit in many ways, but here are some examples. 1 they can sell some of their own shares. 2 they get great and free pr for having high price or fast price rise. 3 when hiring they can offer future employees stock as a signing bonus, thus making it easier to hire talented people, usually it comes with some terms like u must work x years to actually sell those shares, so they also ensure that talent wont leave easily. Tbh there are so many more ways for companies to benefit but, I think you get the picture now.

    With this explanation, you can dump any stock to zero if you have enough shares to sell/ if offered shares exceed the supply, and you sell with a market order. Why does this not happen as a manipulative move more often? What are the preventive measures to avoid crashing any stock to zero at any point?

    • @claytrader
      @claytrader  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Because there is a difference between theory and reality.

      The seller part could have been explained a bit better in your example. A seller usually does not exactly know how much supply is available at a certain point. He can place limit orders, but in this case he can end up waiting forever.
      However, good explanation!

      I'm thinking it's something to do with game theory. There's obviously a group of sellers who want to sell at $50. They could wait until there are buyers at that price. But, every seller at that price has to take into consideration that the other sellers might just sell at $49 and so on, pushing the price further down. So, even though they want to sell at $50, they're worried that other sellers will bite the bullet and sell at $49, so they bite the bullet first. That's what I'm guessing anyway. FOMO, I want to get in before the other guy and get the best price I can before it changes even more.
