Pretty much. Never seen a player in just six seasons who could literally retire now, be a first ballot HOF and arguably top 3 player of all time. Doesn’t matter if he ever catches Brady because he’s fantastic. Anything else he adds to his resume is just extra at this point.
There's no pressure, period, when you're Pat Mahomes.
We have 7 months till the season starts. The pressure will build in that time. I wouldn't bet against it and them but it will become a major talking point this season just like Georgia was this year.

@@jordanhaworth105 Sure but it’s not the same pressure as other teams and quarterbacks like the Bills with Josh Allen or Lamar Jackson with the Ravens. Mahomes and the Chiefs could very well lose in the playoffs next year and it wouldn’t be a huge deal because of what they’ve accomplished already.

Yea I don't agree with Domniques point. The cheifs haven't brought in a top target for Mahomes the last few years, they are taking chances on players with a possible upside. If they brought in a top WR of course they would excel with Mahomes unless they have some kind of major character flaws.

I think Andy Reid is a lot closer to Belichick than Mahomes is to Brady. Reid had success in the playoffs before Mahomes with McNabb and Alex Smith, including a Super Bowl appearance. Belichick had no success without Brady and is currently unemployed. Yes Andy doesn't have the rings or the wins yet, and I still think Belichick is better currently but Andy isn't far off.

They certainly could and considering that they didn’t have anywhere close to their best year on offense they have room to grow. The only difficulty is that the AFC feels much tougher than the NFC right now. The Bengals weren’t even in the conversation this year, the Texans could continue to improve, and the now perennial playoff teams like the Ravens and Bills will likely be there. The AFC has a wide field of teams that could knock them off but no team feels insurmountable for the Chiefs anymore.

If you're stacking rings and Mvps that's different than just being in the right place at the right time. Not to mention while this is a era of heavy offense and well....a noticeable emphasis on pryecting the qb there is still legitimate peers and teams that made those accomplishments worth something. As opposed to Bill in the 60s.........it's more kinda.......a forgone conclusion they were gonna be in the dance. The NBA was not as strong competition wise as it is today. And that's why you don't see anybody take the Russell arguments seriously. However I will say Brady like Montana has the advantage of going elsewhere and showing he can still win. Mahomes may not need 7 rings but at some point I think it would involve something similar. Now if he three peats it's a different story.

Damon Hurad was Brady's backup for his back to back SB'S and he has 2 rings as an active QB on the roster... Aaron Rodgers only has 1 ring so I guess that makes Damon Hurad (who most people don't know / never heard of) better than Rodgers... At least by your logic... Mahomes is on pace to break the majority of Brady's records in his 17th season (16th as starter), that's 10 more years... SB MVP is an individual award. SB winner is a team award... Brady has 7 "team" rings, but Mahomes has already surpassed him as a player of the QB position and is on the verge of being the GOAT already.... Just like with Jordan, he is considered the GOAT, but has a lot less rings than Bill Russel... Barring injury, Mahomes should easily pass Brady as the Greatest "QB" of all time... Annoying people keep saying mahomes is 0-2 vs Brady in play offs which means he is better than Brady. Look at the stats of each of the matchups compared to the defense rank. Brady and Mahomes both play offense! Basketball requires offense and defense. Last time I checked Mahomes isn’t being tackled by Brady or Brady isn’t being intercepted by Mahomes

Yeah that argument didn't really make sense.
One of the reasons they don't last ... well I can think of two main ones obviously there are more
Firstly, with Mahomes as your QB, your receiving numbers are going to be good (if you're any good) everyone says Mahomes elevates everyone around him. That's why the receivers don't stay because they can get paid monster money elsewhere after finding success with KC.
Which kinda ties into the second reason ... Because of the otherworldly talent of Mahomes, he doesn't need top tier receivers to get the job done. Obviously it would likely be easier, but maybe easier isn't even the best way to do things (for Mahomes) anyway so the reason they don't make long term commitments to WRs is precisely because they can find "any warm body" and Mahomes will make it work
(Obviously not just ANY warm body, but they obviously know what types of WR they/Mahomes can work with and they think they can find those guys anywhere apparently)
