    The Color temperature is vastly different and as a huge distraction to the comparison. It'd be great to at least calibrate them before testing. Also compare things like black level would be great.

    Making it easier and easier to get a projector in you place... I think these are really going to take off in the coming years. I don't think they will take over long throw projectors, but these definitely have a place in the market. Great video comparing the 2 you've seen Michael

    There is warmth color setting on the Vava. It will make the picture less blue. Maybe then it is a better comparison.

    Not even close between the two - but shouldn't be for the different price points. Vava definitely gets a lot of praise on slickdeals - but to a fanboyish level. Seems decent but not great for price point to be honest. Definitely impressive for a lesser known brand though.

  • @BrianStDenis-pj1tq
    @BrianStDenis-pj1tq 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    The colors on the LG seemed horrible. Way too enhanced. The flower (the bee was on) was red on the LG and yellow on the Vava. One of them or both is way way way off color wise. The water waves looked way better on the LG. Were either of these given a basic calibration?

    • @LifeofBliss
      @LifeofBliss 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yea I noticed that myself... Just from my experience trying to capture projection images on camera, it's really hard to get a true representation of what you are seeing in person. Interested to see what Michael's thoughts were on the colors of the LG in person.

    • @ImagesOnScreen
      @ImagesOnScreen 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are MANY variables to make a filmed image look good. Color levels, saturation, brightness, contrast, and the color temperature of the video playing, as well as those on the projector, and settings on the camera used for filming need to be calibrated to get the ideal image representation. There is certainly an art to it.

  • @DanielDuedu
    @DanielDuedu 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Images on the LG look over sharpened and over blown, the colors on the LG are more on the red side. The VAVA looks more natural imho. The LG looks like it has a higher peak brightness but that can be due to the settings used.

    • @Youthman
      @Youthman  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks. These were out of the box settings. Some of those could be corrected through proper calibration.

    • @Youthman

      Completely watchable meaning it's bright enough even with a good amount of ambient light in the room. LG would be the better option for sure. You just have to decide if it's worth twice the cost to you.

      Regarding your assumption, neither LG nor VAVA has EVER paid me. Yup...ZERO. Likewise, I did not get to keep either unit after the review. They were shipped back after the review period.
      All sponsored videos on my channel are CLEARLY stated within the first minute of the video and also disclosed in the description of the video.
      In the future, be careful making assumptions. You know the saying...

      Youthman oh ya? Then y was the lg on vivid and the vava on standard??

    • @Youthman
      @Youthman  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You are welcome to believe whatever you want. I can assure you my integrity, character, and my faith as a Christian means far more to me than any dollar amount that I will make on any sponsored video.
      If you want to believe that I was paid by LG to make a video where I would purposefully “rig” the comparison so that they would look better, you clearly do not know me as a person, nor do you know how reviews work.
      But just to enlighten you, when a company sends me a product, they give me no instructions, no demands, no suggestions. I’ll make whatever amount of content I want on the product. I can choose to make a single review, I can make an a in boxing if I choose, I can make a comparison video of it and another product that I happen to have in for review at the same time. LG didn’t even know I had the VAVA in for review.
      Have a blessed day

      He was biased.Most likely paid by LG to do a comparison.VAVA 4K is 6000 lumens while LG HU 85 is just 2700 lumens.Most comparisons done by other reviewers has proved that VAVA was twice brighter, sharper and more color accurate than LG.The only advantage LG has over VAVA was input lag @55ms against VAVA's 107ms.LG performs poorly in brighter rooms compared to VAVA 4k which its brighter lamp allows it to be view-able in brighter rooms.

    Man, I don't know if your picture comparisons are so accurate or so far off. BOTH the Vava and the LG looked terrible. LOL. I am looking at a UST because our HT watching will be moving from from a spare room(like, half dedicated HT) to main living room open to kitchen. I just started researching and after seeing that side by side comparison it makes me want to just bite the bullet and mount my current Sony HW45ES to the ceiling and be done with it. I worry any UST isn't going to compare to it. We will use a TV for most viewing but 110-120 screen with projector for movie night(mostly dark) and sporting events(probably decent amount of ambient light).
