    I'm from Texas, living in Japan now. This video was a lot of fun and a taste of home! I can almost taste that Texas beef. Thanks a lot!

    Ate here about a year ago and loved it. I got the 27 ounce steak and it just melted in my mouth. Best steak I've ever had.

    I absolutely love this video. I’ve probably watched it 60 or 70 times. Just about every time I make a big steak I watch this video.

    I've been to the Big Texan 3 times for meals, including twice in one day. I had breakfast there with the fantastic chicken fried steak and eggs, and supper with their 14 oz. T-Bone steak dinner. They did not disappoint either time. My third meal there came roughly a year later, and I had supper with their prime rib, which in my opinion was the best I've ever tasted. I live in Yavapai County Arizona, so I don't get to eat there as often as people that live in Amarillo, Texas do. But if you're ever in that area of the northern panhandle of Texas, you'd be a fool to not stop and grab a bit to eat. The food is fantastic, and the waiters are very polite courteous and in many cases, sexy as hell, but I know that I absolutely must be on my best behavior, and when I was there, I was.

      I consider a 14 oz steak dinner to be a good snack. Wish I could get out there to try the big one. I had a 24 oz dinner with appetizer at Texas Roadhouse on my anniversary 3 years ago and still wasn't full, so I asked my wife to buy me some food with her winnings at Casino Queen after we left the steakhouse. I ate a 32 oz steak dinner at a place called T Bears, cleaned my plate and finished my neighbor's plate off, with a hangover!

    The best steak house in the United States of America!!! I downed a 22 OZ steak with Texas dirty rice, 2 rolls, Cole slaw, Jalapeno, and drink. The Jalapeno nearly kicked my ass because I was already stuffed but managed to kill it. None of my money went to waste either. After lunch there in Amarillo TX. I was still full for the next day and a half till I got to Lancaster TX.

    As overwhelming as the challenge looks, it is doable in half the time if you proceed correctly. There is a variation of this in Seattle that is harder. They don't have the shrimp, but they do add a bowl of soup and a bowl of ice cream.

    I like this show bc yall didn't just show only the 72oz steak challenge, yall showed all the 'backstage stuff,' like the menu, everything else that big texan has to offer. By now, everyone knows the 72oz steak. before now, we viewers didn't know anything else about the big texan.

    Is it possible to eat the 72 ouncer without taking the challenge?

    • @travel-planners-radio-tv
      @travel-planners-radio-tv  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If you don't finish it in the allotted time it will cost $75.00 so I think they would sell you one for that price, or just take the challenge and then get a doggie bag or finish at your leisure. Thanks for viewing our channel and please subscribe.

    Just got back from The Big Texan. Service was excellent. Food, not. The $100 bill is no longer the menu, you can get a souvenir of one from the gift shop. Just an oversized piece of paper, no menu. How old is this video?? The 18 oz 50-anniversary steaks are now called Man V Food, the cost is now $27.00, + $1.00 for any potato extras. Carrot Cake is as stated on this video at a cost of $9.95. The meat was tough. If that was all they sold I wouldn't go back. Since there are other items on the menu, I think I will check back next week. Locals recommend the prime rib...Seems more hype than truth though.
