I don’t think his inspiration of the opening flute theme came from “Nuthin’ but a G Thang”. The Japanese flute opening on this song is very similar to so many other Japanese ceremonial “matsuri” songs and as he has also pointed out. I believe it is a coincidence how similar they are…maybe opposite? Dr Dre may got his inspiration on his opening song theme from Japanese ceremonies?
