I really love your sight and how you go into detail about places to go and see in Korea. I have watched all your videos and don't recall seeing any information on Mount Seorak or Sokcho City. Your information has tremendously helped me with my planning of our trip to Korea (November 2023). I hope you are able to provide some information about these two sites.

Hi. I am planning to visit South Korea (mainly Seoul and Busan) this coming autumn of 2023 for about a week (8 days). When is the best time to be there for the peak foliage this year? Thanks.
Hello, were going there in 2 weeks and we wanted to do a DIY travel to garden of the morning calm at night, I cant find any reliable info about the bus schedules from the garden to cheongpyeong station? is it okay to do a DIY for garden of the morning calm light festival?
Hello! Yes it’s doable. I have seen blog posts about people visiting there without a car. :) From that station, you can take 30-6 or 30-7 to the garden. There is a timetable on the website. I think it’ll be helpful to check it out. Hope this helps! www.morningcalm.co.kr/_ENG/html/transportation.php
Hwadam tickets are fully booked till 14/11, should I still try at the venue or what would be the next best alternative that you recommend? Thank you! Flying over to Seoul tonight :)
Welcome to Korea! well, there isn't anyway to get tickets offline in the venue. Everyone needs to make reservation online. :(( Other alternative is to visit other location if you can't make it after 14/11.
I know your topic is location in Seoul. However, my favorite place in Korea to see the fall foliage is the Haein Temple, just west of Daegu. Haeinsa is one if the three Jewel temples in Korea and is beautiful in the fall season.
@Your Korea Friend It is a beautiful place, but it also has major historical significance. It is amazing to see the thousands of wooden blocks that record the teachings of Buddha. A significant religious location for one of the world's major religions, yet so few people know about it.
@Your Korea Friend I've been to Haeinsa several times. I first went there in 1982 with students from Kyeongbuk University as part of the Pine Tree Club (English speaking club). It is one of the Three Jewel Temples (Haeinsa, Songwangsa and Tongdosa). We have not yet been to Tongdosa, but plan to do so when we go to Korea again in December.
Hello my Korea friend👋. My question is out of topic but I want to know how the bathroom 🚻 systems works in Korea. We are a family of 5 visiting Korea for summer 2023. My concern is for bathroom 🚻. As a tourist, we're planning to move around pretty much. Is bathroom 🚻 become an issue in a place like gwangjang market or any other market? And what about myeong-dong or hongdae just to name a few place? Per example, In central America and Europe, you have to pay for the bathroom 🚻 if you want to use it unless you eat at a restaurant. In North America, there's many fast food restaurants and coffee shops or even gas stations that you can just stop by and use their bathroom 🚻. Sorry for this long question 😅.
Hello! I don't think you need to worry about the restroom systems in Korea 😆 I never had a problem finding restroom here travelling. You can always go to the nearest subway station to use the restroom. All of them are free. :) I would say maybe carry around tissues just in case. Gwangjang market do not have restroom in the market but you can visit the subway station which is very close. Free restroom when eating or drinking in restaurants or cafes (if in emergency, you can poitely ask to use the restroom too). Also I don't usually do it unless if it's emergency but I run to big cafes like starbucks or McDonald's to use restroom. :)
Thank you for this! Planning to visit Korea during Autumn with mom this year!

When is the foliage this year?
We will be there Nov 9-17, can we still experience this beautiful foliage?
The peak time will pass but you can still see the leaves around that time! Last year we had leaves until late November;)

They will still be some leaves until mid December;)
@@yourkoreafriend :') that gives me hope. Thanks a lot. It's a solo trip and I'm sort of nervous. 😅 Your videos are really helpful, thanks
Hi.. Will be visiting seoul 3days from now. Just want to ask is Namsan Park the same as N Seoul Tower? I am quit confuse. Thanks in advance!
Hello! Namsan Tower is in Namsan Park 😊 So the park surrounds the tower :))
I’m traveling to Korea until middle December. What is the temperature?
Middle December is going to be cold. It might be in between 0-10 celcius.
I’m coming in november ☺️ is it cold there?
It is getting colder! It’s actually colder than other fall season right now :(
🎃 Namsan Park was slowly turning orange and yellow before I left. So pretty! 😊
They are almost turning orange now ;)
