THIS is the kind of channel I needed - dude gets in there and gets busy. Most people would have stopped and said I can't do it when they had found that header above the door for the cable run, but you cut it all out and repaired it with drywall skills. You need a lil bit of everything on most projects I've learned, and this channel is supremely helpful.
These are my favorite projects. A lot of components that all come together in the end to make something unique. I appreciate you taking the time to watch.
I've been watching several TH-cam handyman pages and the Bulletproof handyman recommended your channel. I'm glad I checked out your page. Great content and I love that you're using Collins clamps on the trim work.
Thanks for checking out my channel . Ray over at bulletproof is a great guy. I always glue and clamp the corners because I've seen so many jobs that look good at first but start separating later on.
you are the man dude. your videos are so inspiring to me. the impact these vids have on my outlook on my jobs and i have learned so much from you. thank you for everything!!
Great job! Started a Seniorcare Handyman Service to do the little things they need done. I hope to build skills as I find myself being asked to do more. You are completely right about the confidence factor as I struggle with what I take on because of my lack of experience in the trades. Love your videos.
A senior care service is a great idea. I work with a lot of seniors and unfortunately they have almost all been taken advantage of at some point. Once they trust you though, they'll have you doing all kinds of work. Even work that you might not feel like you're ready to do yet. Good luck!
I just started watching your videos, and I am really enjoying them. I like when youtubers dont edit out their mistakes, and it shows your authenticity. You are very talented and keep up your videos and i really like your commentary too
I started with backsplashes then got an accent wall or two and started to build a portfolio to show to customers when they asked me about them. Once they knew I could do them I always got more jobs but it did take a little time.
Daryl, this is an awesome, awesome job and video. I had questions about some of the tools you used, but they were already asked. I would have done one thing differently. I would have cut those reflecting inlays at 45° to match the framing.
The ones I use are called Collins miter clamps. They sell them on Amazon. You can also just search for spring miter clamps. A bunch of companies make them.
Thanks bro! No liner in the bread pan it's silicone. I only use them for hot mud. I just put the link in video description but I also used it in a video about drywall. Here's the link to the video go to 9:07 th-cam.com/video/TXs5voR2nHo/w-d-xo.html
that looks awesome dude. especially love the wall with the fireplace and water feature. the metal strips really do make it pop. Tile makes a huge difference too on that wall.
Very impressive. I have a question, what are the limits on price where you are or are you a licensed GC? These just look like massive jobs that I could never take on but would like to learn.
Where I am, you have to get to $50,000 before any specialty license required. I am a registered contractor in my state but that’s because there is no handyman license here.
The total came in right around $6000. Adding the tile was a major add to the price. I usually price each part of the job by the profession then add it all up (Electrical work, drywall repair, paint, carpentry, mounting fixtures and tile). I do take in my relationship with the customer as well. This customer has given me a lot of work and has referred me to many other good customers.
Beautiful project Daryl! I appreciate your content a lot. Thank you for all the free game 🙏 is there a way to send you a private message? I have a question for you
Thanks and I appreciate you watching! I don't have a setup for messages yet but you can semd me an email. I use thefinishersacademy@gmail.com for this channel.

VERY impressive Daryl! always a good vid! .... SFMF
Gorgeous with lots of detail!
Always a solid header over an exterior wall opening
There "should" always be a solid header over an exterior wall opening. I've definitely seen otherwise. I appreciate you watching!

What's funny is that I'm always about the angles, but I didn't even think about cutting the metal on an angle. I definitely appreciate the input. 👊🏽
Where you buy your sheet sleeve shirts from…..?
Fire
That is awesome work! Jobs like that are rare. You gotta enjoy them when you get them
Much appreciated! That’s the truth though. Even though I do a large variety of jobs most are regular. I love when a customer wants to experiment.
Great work!
Question.. when you were doing the molding / frames, what are those that are holding the molding while the glue dries?
The ones I use are called Collins miter clamps. They sell them on Amazon. You can also just search for spring miter clamps. A bunch of companies make them.
You stepped your game up with this one! 😮 Looking good Brother 👍🏽
Thanks man I'm trying to. I don't always get jobs that test me but when I do I go all in. I love it though!
Looks fantastic, what state do ×ork? Have somme small and bigger repairs
Thanks! I'm about 45 minutes from Philadelphia.
That looks great Daryl, love the detail! Are you in California by chance?
Much appreciated! I'm on the opposite side of the country, just outside of the Philadelphia area.
Love the music with the narration! Go Daryl the Finisher go!! Great job!! What city or town are you in?
Thanks, much appreciated. I work out of Delaware.
@@DarylTheFINISHER That's great! Thanks. I know what to do from here.

I agree about the metal strips and tile. Wish I could say it was my idea but all design props to the customer.

How much this job paid?

Hey brother how do I go about pricing job?
I'm going to be doing a video on that coming up since it's a little more than I can explain in a comment. I'll make it as simple as I can though.
👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Damn where's the link to that scissor? Hook a brother up
This is the scissor I was talking about. They sell them at Home Depot too. amzn.to/3qBiBsm
