Let me be honest. This is a great song and Blxst sounds good on it, however, i can’t help but think that with the resurgence of the LA street sound through the recent Kendrick lamar song ‘They not like us’ ….is it wise to switch up the sound now, when blxst is a key component of that sound today?
I know you can’t always predict these things, but to me, Blxst had that sound on a chokehold and you could tell that on the ‘die hard’ song on the Mr Morale Album that kendrick was inspired by ‘overrated’ (flow wise )
I understand artists want to evolve and expand, but one shouldn’t evolve to the point where it alienates the folks that were apart of this from day one.
I genuinely look forward to the new album, and hope we get the braids/edgey version of blxst on a few deep cuts.
