I'm a person who likes both physical and digital things. It's good to have a mixture of both. I wish that Capcom would release the original games for Resident Evil and Dino Crisis in both physical and digital median. It's like how it wanted Argylle on Blu-ray, but Apple is hiding it behind an Apple TV subscription, which annoys me.
@@erzatitaniawins Speaking of parents and older tech, I remember growing up, I had a Beta-Max cassette, where you had to rewind the tape by twisting a crank manually.
As for me, I always maintain this, we live in a FASCINATING time. We have access to the works of the past more easily than ever before. This means, we should be able to learn from the past better than ever before. I'm not saying I don't like a reimagining but something like Batman Beyond... I... FREAKIN HATE batman beyond, coz it's an ultra downgrade of how good Batman used to be. But I also get where some others may come from. Honestly, I dunno about you, but I'm a 90s, 2000s guy. And... that era SPOILED US! Using pro wrestling terms, there are too many who are trying to recreate ECW of all things, over 20 years after the company closed. This shows the lasting impact of the 90s product. The Rock, Stone Cold... even nWo Hogan, These new people, Roman Reigns, Adam Paige, they will NEVER be able to capture the magic of Rock, Austin or Hogan. Take rap music, there has not been another DMX ever But now, we live in a time, where we can access those golden pieces of art so easily. We should be doing a better job learning from them. As for game preservation, nothing lasts forever, the hardware will eventually fail or become too outdated. But still, older games should be preserved.
Just out of curiosity why do you believe Capcom hasn't brought back any of their older horror titles in an easy to play way even though it would make them easy money? The problem with Wrestling is inevitability. Back then nobody knew how things worked and a lot of the terms. Now everybody knows everything about everyone so there is nothing that can excite and get people to get emotionally attached or to buy into like an Austin or a Dusty Rhodes. Wrestlers had to follow kayfabe while come up with a lot of their own stuff. Austin's legendary 3:16 promo he came up with on the fly on after returning from getting stiches from the hospital and being briefly told what Jake the Snakes promo was before having his match and then cutting the legendary promo. Nowadays wrestlers are given less creativity and everything feels like something they were told to say and not organically coming from or in other words real. Don't even get me started with modern music I gave up over a decade ago. The only thing that I can appreciate know is soundtracks.
@@erzatitaniawins Oh man... today's music industry... MELLOW AF! NO PASSION, NO ENERGY! As for pro wrestling, I don't really think it's due to exposure of kayfabe. When Rock and Austin were on fire, you still had a zombie die, then come back as a biker, then come back as a zombie again, and after nearly TWO DECADES, find the keys to his bike in one of his older coffins or something, and came back as the biker against AJ Styles. LOL. People knew that was fake anyways. But the lack of creativity coupled with the monopolization of wrestling is what made pro wrestling in such a state, that WCW's last Nitro episode seems to have more average viewers than many Monday Night Raw shows. As for why Capcom is doing this, I think it's due to complancency and maybe a bit of personal grudges. I'm getting Vince McMahon vibes, where he kept pushing the wrong people, as he knew he's making money hand over fist, and he liked some people more than others, and hated other people. I think they don't like the legacy of Shinji Mikami or something.
The sad part is especially for Resident Evil is that it would be easy money to bring back the classic games. They are so stubborn they remind me like the Seahawks in the Super Bowl on the 1 yard line not running the ball with Marshawn Lynch but instead throwing a game losing interception. Just makes no sense.
I love that moment when you told me to get to the house. Lot of fun we had.

Speaking of Alien Rhomulous, didn't they also release an audio cassette with the DOOM Eternal soundtrack? Who own Cassette players anymore lol?
They are probably more collectors items but I believe my Mom still has some of her old cassette tapes.

I hate Capcom, they do not care about game preservation at all. Capcom is pathetic
