DIY Ghostbusters Ghost Trap for my kids

- My Ghostbusters addicted kids needed a ghost trap. Have you looked at prices for toy ghost traps lately? Because they're insane, if you can even find one. So I designed one, using an electronics project box as the main body, and using a servo driven by a Raspberry Pi Pico to open and close the doors. It's pretty awesome.

we're looking at YOU HASBRO!👀
Really cool.
Thanks! I am really happy with the result on this one. The kids love it.
Easy mechanical solution to the piston problem. Bicycle brake line.
That's really good. I think I'm rebuilding this thing fully mechanical. Thanks!
@@KenMakesMistakes No worries.
Hey I am in a similar situation....my 4 YO is obsessed with Ghostbusters right now and I want to get him a trap but no way im paying those prices. I dont have access to a 3d printer...any way i could commission you for one of these?
SAME. When my son was a baby and little his mom seemed annoyed I was buying him Kenner Ghostbusters. I told her "All my stuff is gone. I don't have it to pass down to him." And when I couldn't afford it, I made it.
Your hair looks ridiculous.
Right!!!!
Do you sell these??????????
I don't, sorry. The files are available free, though, and I'd definitely put the final difficulty at low to medium at worst.
A Awesome build
Thanks! It's held up to use and abuse by my kids so far, so mission accomplished for me.
great job!
cute little trap. it kinda works like the Walmart trap from a few years ago.
I was definitely hunting for one. If I could've found one of those, there's a chance I wouldn't have made this, so I guess I'm glad people rarely part with them.
