      Thank you!! One tip, check the airflow going to your ESC. Mine was shoved in a tiny recess behind the plastic cowl, with no airflow. I relocated mine to the internal compartment and opened the backside of the recess to the internal compartment. Lots of airflow and cooling. Your electronics will thank you for it. Hope you enjoy your Arrows Corsair!

    First time I watched this I was just paying attention to your great flying skills and how pretty the plane is in flight. (I got Ace Hardware to match the Navy blue, did a little sanding and have a solid Navy blue plane, with a silver spinner) But the 2nd time watching your video I noticed all the towers! Geez!

    I realize this was made some time ago but I want to thank you for some solid info on getting the Corsair fly excellently! I went the 4s way and even balanced the prop(what a difference,honestly) and it flys perfectly! Thank you

    I just got one from the wife. I put an AR636 in it and am trying to nerve myself up to maiden it! It appears to fly pretty fast, but also seems nice and stable.

      Congratulations! I love this Corsair. Performance is outstanding and yes, it’s also stable too! Yes it has the ability to fly fast, but that’s where you come in with the throttle control. ;) Just remember that since this is a warbird, it does have the typical Warbird traits. Apply throttle on takeoff gradually and don’t floor the throttle. Also watch out for the torque turn/roll to the left on the rollout prior to takeoff and apply right rudder to compensate. Keep throttle in on turns and don’t mess around with super slow speeds with high bank angles - Corsairs have a nasty tip stall (look up Eflite Corsair Tip Stalls on TH-cam and you’ll see what I mean), and if you have to abort a landing, don’t jam on the throttle, but gradually increase the throttle instead to prevent a torque spin to the ground. Hope you enjoy this model.. it’s a good one!

    Hello, I am interested in this Arrows Corsair and was thinking to use a gyro in it. You used the lemon Rx Lm003 stabilizer, and I wanted to know if this stabilizer is a receiver and gyro stabilizer all in one, will I still need to use a receiver with it. Also, the Lemon Rx you used is not the Stabilizer Plus-type, is there a reason for this. Now I am new to this so I don't understand a lot, what does the 9:30 mean by Aileron and rudder? A response would be most appreciated.

      @daquino0021  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello, that is correct, the Lemon RX that I use is the LM033 model that is a Diversity Stabilizer and Receiver: www.lemon-rx.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=131
      I do not use the Plus-Type, as that includes the "self-righting auto-level" function that I don't need.
      The clock positions that I refer to are in relation to the 3-axis screw pots that you use to adjust the strength of the stabilization "gain" for the following: Aileron, Rudder, Elevator. Going clockwise increases the sensitivity of the stabilization, and going counterclockwise reduces the sensitivity. A little experimentation is needed to determine how much stabilization you will need for each application you use the unit on.

    Nice flight Derick, it was very smooth and the aileron rolls were tight with minimal loss in altitude. Are you flying at full throttle and 100% rates for most of the flight?

    • @daquino0021
      @daquino0021  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Bob. I was flying anywhere from 70-100% most of the flight. Future update will be some modifications to 4S, with specs and mods identical to my Eleven Hobby F8F Bearcat on 4S: th-cam.com/video/0O2_yQ8Gn4s/w-d-xo.html

      Derick Aquino Thanks will be watching for that video. My flights with the faster warbirds are still a bit jerky but part of the problem is that I’m flying at a smaller field so I must make turns tighter and more often. That field you’re at is ideal.

      The one nice thing is that I will be replacing the extra 28 grams of ballast I had to add when using the Admiral 3S 2600 30C (211 grams) with the weight of the Pulse 4S 2200 45C lipo (241 grams) and the the few extra grams from the ZTW Mantis 65-amp (which is close to the weight of the stock 40-amp ESC) won't hurt the CG either, so overall AUW will be nearly identical, but with an obvious bump in power. Just the thing to remember is that you have absolute control of your throttle - don't wanna go so fast? Don't throttle as much. I would expect that my 60% throttle on 4S would be my 100% on 3S - Thats what I felt on my Eleven Hobby F8F Bearcat. Stay tuned :)

      Derick Aquino Good advice regarding throttling back for the conditions. Yea I noticed that you had quite a bit of ballast with the 3S. With a 4S you’ll get about a 3,500 boost in rpm, which will make that motor humm. It will be fun to see your video with the 4S power.

    Derick, do the gear struts have any suspension to them or are they just rigid? Great flying by the way, thanks.

      @daquino0021  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Patrick! They are rigid so make sure to land nicely. ;)

    Technical question: Do you know if the gear servos are 25g or 40g? I want to know if they would fit my Dynam 1270mm corsair that has 40g retracts.
    Thank you

      Not a fricken clue. Out of all the random ass questions I get, this is probably one of the most “Captain Random, what is the average cruising speed of a Western Swallow heading due west with half a leg intact and fed on rice” type question. This beats the “what is you AUW” question which I love so much (facetiously).
      They are the stock gear retracts though so you can look up the manual, find the part number and see if there’s anything on it. Good luck.
