I honestly haven't felt any large difference between using any of the leaders in any game I'd played (I usually just pick random a long with random seed, pressing the re-randomize button a few times before I start just in case. So no, I have not played Persia or Mexico or anything. I have played games that are easy with like Copernicuz or Zenobia (just buying everything xD) but no, no large difference I can't definitively say my ease of gameplay isn't simply due to a good spawn and advantageous decisions! My best game was with Spain!) What I'm saying is perhaps leader bonuses help you through the first 50 turns (some don't even come into effect till mid-game! but you know what I mean, they only help you for a short while). For the most part the game is well balanced to the point that you can beat it with ANYBODY really. The main issue is Science is VERY easy to get for anybody (except maybe Persia :/ like I said I have not played them...) so jumping out ahead and getting OP rather quickly has never been a problem for me up to Grand Duke difficulty no matter WHO I play as. The +3 houses to al cities bonus is honestly one of the BEST abilities I have seen on any leader. Just saying o.0
Trying to complete a single player match, but then suddenly 3 nations decide to attack me at the same time, even tho i've been peacful and not bothering them. Would be cool with some mods or actual features that make the buildings look diffrent depending on your nation.
This is just me assuming, but it seems like the AI makes those decisions because of various reasons. but one of them seems to be how much military you have on the Map (not in the reserve). They also like to bow out very quickly when they realise (maphack I assume) that you had quite a bit of units in reserve, and you might be able to crush them. There will be hopefully an AI vieo soon which more details. Nothing concrete yet.

About the Chinese and American new leaders, they are probably Confusius and Harriet Tubman. Since they were teased in earlier clips of the game.
